Been listening to a lot of New Order lately.

There has been some discussion about the meaning of the song:

    This version clarifies it.

Of course New Order was formed out what remained of Joy Division after the suicide of Ian Curtis. Joy Division is one of the greatest Brit bands of all time. This Joy Division video is from a documentary about New Order.

The first New Order single 'Ceremony' and it's b-side 'In A Lonely Place' were originally intended to be a Joy Division single. Both New Order and Joy Division are both a couple of my favorite bands.

Good material. A couple of other New Order songs I like. Seems with this era you often have to choose between classic sound with ordinary videos or poorer sounds from live performances with better videos. I almost always choose the better sound.

Decided to add to the thread title and bump. I like much of the music from this group, but Love Vigilantes is especially powerful.

"Age of Consent", one of my favorite New Order songs I see is now being used in a Target advertisement. I hate when they do that to music I like so much.

Haven't seen that Target ad. I don't see much commercial TV or maybe it's a regional ad.

Loved the earlier stuff from them but this caught my ear in the 90's when they did a sort of come back called "Crystal"
