So the X-Men: First Class is coming out! Is this worth seeing even though we may not have as much "eye candy" as we had in X-Men Origins: Wolverine? Please leave your thoughts. Here is a promo for the cast of the film.http://www.slashfilm.com/cast-xmen-class/

I'm still going to watch it, even if it might whomp. I mean, it's X-Men, and I've always been a fan. And Emma Frost is in it, so yay.

I loved the X-MEN cartoon as a child....it didn't age well which sucks even thou there are some cool episodes.

The X-MEN movies always seem to disappoint me icon_sad.gif

I remember the cartoon intro was pretty slick back in the day...here's hoping they can do the X-MEN series right.

Yeah the X-men intro for the series was very cool for it's time. LOL they should reboot the animated series and make them a high quality mini-series.

DC has been releasing some pretty good Animated Superhero movies lately.
I wish Marvel would do the same.

I was really skeptical but after seeing that trailer I've gotta say—it looks good. I don't like how different it will be from the comics and the actual first class of X-Men but it looks like a good movie nonetheless.

The lower one was from the X-Men cartoon in the 90's and the top one was from a one-shot cartoon special Pryde of the X-Men. I'm sure he meant the bottom one.

    Yeah I'm a total nerd. icon_cool.gif

Hopefully this entry in the X Men saga will exceed the thoughtlessness and horrible mangling only movie director Brett Ratner could have done with "X Men 3." I hope a level of dignity and class for the characters returns, the way director Bryan Singer commanded with the first two films.

I actually liked the Wolverine and the X-Men series that got cancelled recently and X-Men Evolution. The dialogue was much better, Scott Summers was written much more interestingly (Evolution was my favorite Scott), and Wolverine was the focal point only when necessary. That's what killed X-3 for me: Dark Phoenix Saga and Gifted featured Scott rather heavily and if James Marsden wasn't available, they shouldn't have done it and they certainly shouldn't have handed it over to Ratner, who made Prison Break unwatchable for me in Season 3. Making Wolverine the focal point is as dumb as putting him on the Avengers...oh, wait. That did happen. This trailer? I'm as cautiously optimistic as a fanboy can be.

    Remove brain

    Buy popcorn

    Watch....

    enjoy!

...that's pretty much what I do for most of these movies.

Strangely, the worst reviewed are the ones I seem to love the most!

Better if you theater jump at matinee time. (make sure to keep your 3D glasses from some other flick)

Well, anyone who knows the x-men from comic books know the other movies are a lot different from the original stories (the second was the closest one), plus this team has nothing to do with the actual first class (Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Iceman, Beast and Angel) so we can't expect any it to be just as good as the comic books.

But why not face this as an alternative reality (any real fan of X-men are used to them) and enjoying the movie? The plot sounds intersting and Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw are gonna be there. Plus, I don't think they can get any worse than X-Men - The Last Stand
