As a bottom doesn't it take a lot of time to prepare? Are quickies and unexpected sex even possible when you have to put so much time into getting ready?

Hey :-) you're gonna hear a lot of different opinions on douching, enemas, and the like. So, remember to take what people say with a grain of salt and follow up on things...especially if the poster uses 'facts' to back up his argument. Where did these facts come from? What type of study was it, from when, how many people, same race as you? All things to consider.

First off, I bottom 95% of the time and I like to KNOW that I am clean back there. I feel more comfortable and can let go and relax during sex. This makes it better for me(the difference between one orgasm and multiple orgasms) A lot of tops are nice and understanding but in my experience are still turned off by 'shit-dick'. So, I typically douche before hooking up. For me, that is a solid hour what with douching and a shower/getting ready. This allows me to go out for dinner and have sex afterwards and again in the morning...usually.

For a quickie or unexpected sex, it's usually just a blow-job. If a guy wants something open 24/7 he should date a woman. It's just a fact of gay male biology. We aren't a convenience store. :-)

To be honest, I've run into problems with guys who don't want to wait or don't give me time to prepare. They weren't sensitive or respectful in other arenas or they were just inexperienced. Real life is not the same as porn...mature and thoughtful tops know this and will understand if you can't bottom from time to time.

In the end, you have to find a process or understanding of your pre-sex needs and then try to adhere to them as best as possible. Also, don't listen to the crazy-ass g0ys or anti-anal guys...they got problems.

    My two cents.

It's his choice if he wants to take you "as is." I'd rather be prepared, but if he's cool with it, fine. So long as it's still safe, the bottom being at greatest risk if the sex is unprotected.

I had bottomed with this guy a number of times, and one morning, after sleeping over at his place, we were taking a shower together. Suddenly he bent me over and started to enter me. DAMN, I wanted it so bad!

But this voice went off in my head: "What the Hell are you DOING?" And so I pulled away, and told him he needed to wear a condom. "Oh, I don't have any in the bathroom," he replied. Well, then that ends that.

Plus he'd told me he only practiced safe sex, though I knew he was a big ole slut. Well, if he'd do that with me, how many other guys had he done that with? I never got into bed with him again.

Moral: have all the quickies you like, and let the top decide if he wants you prepped or not. But ALWAYS be safe, condom only at all times and circumstances.

My current bf almost always douches before we play. And he is usually squeaky clean in there which is always hot. But sometimes, I like to take him spontaneously. He gets a little nervous when we do that, but at the same time he gets extra hot for it. There's something about "I want you NOW and I don't care if you are perfect down there" that is pretty hot. It's another level of acceptance that can be a turn on. Most of the time it works out without problems, but the few times it doesn't we just shrug it off and jump in the shower.
