The Perfect Body...here's my take

First off let me just say I totally understand the whole "If you're beautiful on the inside, that's what really matters" thing. And i'm for it. I believe in it. BUT, sometimes I see someone like this and say to myself, "I would do anything to have a body like that for a day let alone the rest of my life!" I'm working on having that body as we speak and have been for a little while. But as some of you know, unless you are "born with it" or it's your job to look that way, some of us just can't look THIS good no matter how hard we work on it. Being a college student with Type 1 Diabetes doesn't help the matter either.

I don't. I believe in first impressions. In order to find out what's on the inside, you must first catch people's attention with what's on the outside. Plus, if you're hot on the outside (especially if it was worked for and not genetic), it shows how motivated you are to reach your goals...which could be implied as part of what's on the inside.

Absolutely spot on. This is truth and why most of us are on RJ.

He has the "perfect" body because all he does is work at it. His job is basically to workout and train others. He has been doing it for years and years. Have you seen all his workout videos on youtube? Yeah genetics might play a role, but he sure as hell wasn't born with that body. A lot of hard work right there...

I don't think it's genetics as much as it's dedication.

Not impressed. I train with dudes that could take a month off and come back still looking better than him.

Judging by some of the pics of plainness people pass around on here, it's clear some of yall dont get out much.

either that or you just have so much low self esteem that you want to get in shape or go anorexic.

pfft...I don't listen to him anyway. He's gonna end up as an extremely bitter old man in a few years once he realizes his physique won't last forever. He'll be one of those old creeps in the bar showing off his old pictures from yesteryear trying to make people sex him based on how he used to look...and BEGGING for compliments, since he apparently hates them now. icon_lol.gif

Scott Herman has a nice body but you have a great body too, don't compare yourself to others.

I don't think there is a"perfect" body type. Nobody is perfect. If you're thin, average, muscular or whatever looking naturally toned is the key. IMO there are a lot of guys with various body types that I find attractive.

The majority of those who only workout because of low self esteem end up quitting because they lack the patience to follow through. Those who do follow through and succeed usually end up with a higher self esteem.
