    it appears:

OPs can no longer delete a thread.

If you edit the subject line to leave it blank, the thread can no longer be accessed.

I just tested it and no, you can not delete your thread now. You can also not remove your OP, but can edit it and remove your words. In the case of making a duplicate thread, I would email administration and ask them to delete the one you want removed.

    what has happened here?

we can no lonfer embed videos, img no longer seems to work.

You can embed videos. They changed something at YouTube. They have a new kind of embed code that doesn't seem to work here. When trying to get the embed code at YouTube, check the box that say "use old embed code" and then it will work here.

    I haven't had a problem with images.

edit- They did the same thing at vimeo and their new embed code will not work. You have to click on "use old embed code" there as well.

Hey UpprCdn, on the yellow bar above there is a help key on the far right. Click on that to ask admin about this. icon_wink.gif

You can copy and paste a link to this topic into the message you send them.

Yeah, I noticed that too a couple of days ago. Not sure if it's YouTube or Chris (the admin.) who blocked that. Maybe the vids got to be a problem using too much bandwidth....??

Here is a link about the new embed code at youtube. Just use the old one and everything works the same here in the forums.

I just posted this the usual way. Couldn't get 'adult swim' area of YT to post, though.

    Let's clear some things up-

You can still post an image
You can still embed a video
You can still quote a hidden member- I did this just minutes ago.

There ARE times when a thread SHOULD be deleted....and the OP still should hold the right to do it!!
I feel that the Admin, Chris is wrong in changing this.
I have ONE example right now where this change is NOT good.
I created a thread when I was campaigning for MuscleComeBack to be MOTD.
Thanks to all of the GREAT guys on here, he won...by a LANDSLIDE.
SO, why do we need this thread any longer????? Is it going to be there forever now??? .icon_rolleyes.gif..icon_rolleyes.gif...icon_rolleyes.gif

Sorry but wrong. It was GOOD to remove this absurd feature. WHY should that thread be deleted: shouldn´t MCB´s example be available as a permanent encouragement to people? An example that you don´t have to be a attention whore 23 year old model to be MOTD but can be a 50 something guy who has been training a year? I think it´s EXCELLENT to keep. And forums are full of redundant threads. That´s just how they are. And yes, stuff on the net is forever.

Ah, so it's YouTube itself making the transition to HTML5, not a RealJock change. Well, guess we'll have to sort it out and keep marching. Perhaps Chris will offer some specific RJ guidance for us about anything different we must do or expect with YouTube clips.

But this MCB thread is definitely a thread to keep. I just looked it again and out 68 posts, there were only a couple of negative ones. Almost everyone had the nicest things to say. That's a pretty good record for a thread around here. So much better than the awful threads that followed the Tuscon shootings.
