That was amazing icon_biggrin.gif . I couldn't figure out if this was a real moment in time or some sort of theatrical monologue but I liked it anyway.

Dude, c'mon. You don't think she put her heart and soul into that? And you should give high school students the benefit of the doubt. Not only that, but it's probably not too cool to use the word, "dyke." It's pretty damn offensive.

My school (super politically correct private high school) would definitely allow it to happen, and nobody would yell anything. People would have said shit behind her back after it was over, but it would have been silent.

Who knows if this is real though.

Wish I had the balls to do this when I was in high school - so many people would have realized they weren't alone... and maybe I woulda been ridiculed, but really I guess I jut didn't have the right support in my life till much later, sad to say.

For those of you who think it's fake, I don't have any proof, but it's a very gay friendly city north of SF, plus its on semi-reputable sites all over the internet, so I believe it.

I was thinking the same, gay and theatre major.... which also answers your question.... she wants the attention, that's what drives most people who are into theatre/acting. she does sound like she's giving a monologue.

I can't say for sure that it wasn't real, but muchmorethanmuscles is right that it's not very candid. she certainly prepared this from a script. ( but lots of people do so when making speeches)

If I were str8 this would have annoyed me. The fact that she assumed I cared enough about her to wan to know who she finds sexually attractive.

I bet it was fake anywAy. Most kids would be laughing or telling her to hurry up cuz she's boring.
No one cares about dykes. It's the fudge packing homosexuals ppl hate

She speaks with the voice and conviction of someone who has more years than I would assume she has as a senior.

I commend her for having the courage and the conviction to speak to her fellow students about her struggle and how she is overcoming it. If even one person is inspired or enlightened by her words, then that is all that matters icon_smile.gif
