Sites like this are a great way to meet, chat share tips, and frankly ogle other guys.

How many guys actually find themselves dissatisfied with who they are and no matter how great they look and have accomplished feel like they don't compare to someone bigger, or more ripped, or "hotter" then they?

We seem to be quite visually turned on by a great set of guns or pecs, or washboard abs, but does that make you feel you aren't adequate and work toward something genetically you won't ever accomplish?

Ok first off...Shame on you for making me feel bad!!

I want to get the big guns with pecs that would someone weak at the knee if I ever took my shirt off at the beach. I hate being called thin, skinny or anything else related to it because I picture it as being size 0 or even 00 model.

Every time I miss going to the gym, I get agitated and constantly thinking that I'll go back to being a 'stick'.As much as my self confidence makes me a very pleasant person, I need to pair it up with body of a greek statue. icon_razz.gif

If I wasn't working full time, I think I would have been more obsessive about going to the gym and pumping iron..

Plus we do live in superficial world were looks matter because lets face the fact, its in our genetic code to partner up with someone attractive and 'fertile'

So i will continue to pump long after I reach my goal, because I do not want to revert back to what I was before.

Well the point wasn't to make you feel bad. Even I don't feel like I compare to many of the guys on this site.

I was trying to say that no matter what size a guy is, it seems we ALL feel inadequate. There are always hotter bigger men.

I was just asking how many guys feel that way... Seems a lot more...

I don't think I'm muscular enough at all. I strive to get bigger all the time.

Hence your dissatisfaction. You're certainly muscular, no doubt about that but you want MORE!

    I'm the same way, dude.

Yes, I would like to be big and with some work I probably can be bigger, but I know I have to live with I've been given. I have a thin frame and I can look at myself and see that shoulder blade to shoulder blade, I am not that wide, something I can't change. I will never be huge.

I hear worst case, bigorexics will never go shirtless, and even stay away from the public because even though they're bigger than Arnold, they will feel not good enough.

I've only been here a short amount of time, but I found that I pushed myself harder today at the Gym than I had before joining. I guess it's all in how you channel that inadequacy.

Yes! It's amusing because I hear from friends comments about how much more mass I want to get; I always reply "I'd like a bit more mass." Having said that, I'm around 200 lbs with no real clue about how much is enough.

As much as I like my size, if I woke up tomorrow and I weighed 300 lbs of solid muscle, I'd be absolutely fine with that.

I think most of the time I'm able to see it as inspirational -- particularly if the guy's body seems like something I can realistically aspire to -- or else I'll just appreciate the results of their hard work and/or genetics and/or modern science.

But I definitely notice variations in how I perceive what I see in the mirror, and I'm sure the fact that my gym is seething with ripped muscle guys has something to do with that.

Gaining the little size I have in the past few months has already been problematic with none of my clothes fitting now. I guess I strive to be stronger, more defined and better proportioned, but bigger in and of itself...no.

It's a vicious circle. You keep getting bigger, you keep having to buy smaller shirts...it never ends.

I think most of USA has bigorexia; but it has nothing to do with muscles. icon_lol.gif

I think this year was the first year that I felt like I didn't need to get any bigger. Ironically enough, I was noticeably bigger 3 years ago. But I finally came to appreciate things about my body (like how I can take a month or 2 off from the gym and look about the same).

I mean, there's always room for improvement, but I've def felt pressure from myself in the past to get impossibly big.

Now, I just look for better lighting ;-)

i think it's a question of always striving for better... some of us were born with bodies, some of us had the knowledge and know how to get the body, some had parents who guided us, some have the desire and drive to maintain, keep and grow their body... and some of us have worked hard to get where we are today.

i want a bigger chest, bigger shoulders, bigger arms, bigger neck, bigger legs and a smaller waist... the thing is, i work for it...HARD. i started at the opposite end of things and have built what i have today. i'm not sure i'll ever be happy with it... i'll always be the fat kid in my head, but that's what keeps me going (and sometimes holds me back) but we all have hurdles to cross...

however, i do hate a guy who is obviously perfect who hates his body... that pisses me off. hahahaha

Sometimes the reason someone works extremely hard is because when they look in the mirror they constantly disgust themselves because of their distorted self-view. It's a serious and sad situation.

Hum at first though we were talking about dick size....as for me I just want to gain 10-15lbs, was there once and looked amazing and didn't want to get any bigger. Guess I don't suffer since for me there is much more to life then getting big....I just know I was healthier, stronger and a better athlete when I was at 155-160lbs then 145lbs where I am now.
