I don't punish... if I'm genuinely unattracted to them or re-read the profile and think, "Nah..." then I'll do it.

It's pretty furtive ya know? I mean they have NO IDEA who has hotlisted them, so when you subtract yourself from their "hotlist" numbers, you have won and they have lost and they don't even know it. Well played bro. Well played.

I've seen grown men cry after they've found out they been de-listed.

Well, ok, I haven't but in my mind's eye that is what happens.

I do the same thing...except when I do it, I send them a message saying

"So, there!" and I sometimes even stick out my tongue..

But they would never know unless they kept a record of all those who hotlisted them and then went back and checked on a regular basis? No?

I've only done it when I met the person and they were a total douche. I don't think that's hot at all. icon_smile.gif

doesn't really seem like a very effective punishment. i mean, i could see deleting somebody who is a douchebag in order to avoid encountering his image on your hotlist, but it's not really punishment.

leaving his pet rabbit boiling on his own stove: now THAT'S a punishment he won't forget!

True it really isn't a punishment for him cause he would be like "Well I already have other people who have hot listed so why even care"

I like the boiling rabbit idea....Instead I could very well boil his pet cat insteadicon_twisted.gif

It's evil, but also safe. Cuz you aren't on anybody's hotlist, so ther can't be any retribution in kind. Perfect plan. But wouldn't you buddy listing them be even more evil? ... icon_evil.gif

Which hurts more, taking him off your Hotlist or off your Buddylist?
I dumped a few crazies off mine. And if they read this i'm sure they'll probably throw a few tantrums again, lol!

Most people don't care if they're on your hotlist or not, or maybe that's just me.

Uh, if you look at your mail history with another person, you can see who has listed you and if they de-listed you.
But who would be paranoid enough to do that? hehe

How do you even keep track of this stuff? I hot list people when I remember to and unlist them when I accidentally hot list them twice. I usually look at their profile pic then go directly to click on the rj logo. I don't spend much time looking at anything. Ilike the purdy pictures.

RJ needs an option where you can opt out of being hotlisted, or individually deny being on someone's hot list. Same with buddy listing.

Agreed, an important function missing on RJ...ultimately every now and then i go through the hotlist just to see who i can delete. No hard feelings or anything, just like spring cleaning thats all.

rjb2001, it will be a very, very long time before you are off my list, hottie. icon_biggrin.gif
