Recently (which is 1-2 years-ish), I have been listening to piano and violin pieces. They are utterly mesmerizing. I just think the way these instruments pull emotion outta you is...just crazy.
so RJers please share some/any piano and violin pieces.
    THANKS.

I don't know why the full version of this isn't available, this is edited. Still, I've loved this piece for years. <3 Lara St. John.

You must listen Zimerman-Chung version. It's the best.

Another wonderful Violin Sonata: Franck's Violin Sonata

All of the above are beautiful pieces however I also like the piano and harp pieces and have performed a few of them for certain occasions.

Can't go past the achingly beautiful Violin and Piano Sonata in E Minor by Mozart, written when he lived in Paris and just after his mother died. I intend to learn and play the violin part one day.

one HAS to mention Beethoven's Kreutzer and Brahms D minor.

but i must confess to a love affair with Debussy's Sonata . Many find it imperfect but to me it sums up all of Debussy's art and i love the bittersweet feeling of the 1st movement.
