I had found this site awhile back... it may not be news to anybody else... but I offer it here out of interest. I think that if people actually used it they might find out some uncomfortable facts about their favourite party and representatives. Yes, I suspect that Democrats will use it to show how evil Republicans are (and Republicans using it to show how evil Democrats are.) I kind of hope that people will actually use it to look at the party and people they support in addition to those they dislike.

Basically, they let you look at which groups and companies have contributed to support which senators, which legislation, which congressmen ect... I spent hours learning who has been bought and paid for by whom...icon_confused.gif

It opens on a page showing what you can do... it opens on California, but keep clicking. You can look at any bill, legislator, company, special interest group and actually follow the money for both California and nationally. While it is not complete (you can dig deeper and find other fundraisers and contributions made in an indirect manner) it is one of the better sites for glancing at which companies and groups want certain legislation passed and what they are willing to spend. You can also see how much it cost them to buy the passage of a bill. icon_twisted.gif

I'd say that truth be told about 90% of republicans are bought and pad for, followed by a close second of 88% of Democrats, the only way their caucus comes out a little better because there are a few good independents on their side like Sanders from the North East.

Just take a look at the health care bill and follow the money as to why the "Public Option" went by the wayside early in the dealings between Obama and the Insurance industry. That whole thing even though better than nothing, was riddled with giveaways put in the bill for their money supporters.

Its totally disgusting !! now enter the TBaggers, they've basicly done the same thing by selling out to their funders the Koch Bro's. They should be howling to the high heavens over the Politicians selling out the American Public for the sake of Corporate bottom lines. but no, their too dumb to see that they are bought too, and just promoting the interests of their financiers.
