For many years I have procrastinated about my health. As I have gotten older, I have become lazier and fatter. I always have an excuse for why I am not working out, getting fit and enjoying life. A new friend helped me get my head out of my butt and start going again. He told me of this site, and I have joined in hope of finding inspiration, courage, and myself. I have made the first step on this journey; accepting I need to change. So here goes the next step....

Congratulations, TruBluNewEnglander! Welcome to the new YOU!

Pay attention to your DIET, as that is one of the biggest factors in making exercise work for you.

My biggest hurdle was always FOOD, 'cuz darn it, I love to EAT. Once I determined to be vigilant about what I took into my body, the exercise came more easily and became more encouraged by the progress. Takes effort to plan your meals, but once you get that down, it's like ol' habit.

TerraFirma, food is a huge hurdle for me. I work at a convenience store on the overnight shift, and I know I'm not supposed to eat at night. So I have no clue how to handle this.
