Probably not. I have a good career here that I don't think I could give up unless there was an amazing job opportunity where I would be moving.

I certaintly will relocate for the right person. If someone I connect with who has the qualities then why not get close to them. If there are no strings attached to your location then why not relocate to someone who u connect with. There is nothing like being with the right person. The location shouldnt matter its the person.

I have trouble with guys who live in Brooklyn and I'm in Manhattan.

That said, if the guy lived in LA or Miami, maybe. This Winter in NY has been just mood dampening. Yuck!

That's a bit idealistic sounding. If I had a nickel for every tragic story I have heard of someone who was sure they met "Mr. Right, uprooted their life and moved to another city, only to have the honeymoon end and reality set in. I'm not saying if you have nothing holding you to a particular city that someone shouldn't take the leap of faith and move for romance, but it sort of depends on many other factors other than "the relationship". You have to really look at the possibilities of IF, God forbid, the relationship doesn't work out -- then what? I'm not saying it can't work, because there are many examples where it can. That said, just be sure you plan for the possibility that it may not.

This happened to me.. kinda in reverse. Met the most wonderful man 8 years ago when he was in Dallas and I was in Ft Laud. We bounced back and forth for a couple of weeks (yes weeks.. it was blind love and it worked this time) He was one of the psychiatrists for the gay community there for over 20 years, so pretty well entrenched.

Short version, I finally decided I'd be happier with him than without him and offered to move to Dallas. He said any man willing to move to Dallas for him is worth moving TO. So he came to Florida and its been great ever since.

So, would either of us do it again..?: Yup

My ex moved x-country from DC to San Diego 9 years ago. Notice. EX. We made a run of it. It was good for a while.

He's happier here, and I'm relocating to Denver. It can work.

I would, and have, twice. And both times I was glad I did.

For me, the answer will likely be no if I cannot move my career with me.

Luckily for me, my BF is moving up here! He's relocating for me and school. I've told him to put school on the higher priority list than me.

For Prince Charming...you bet! But I want the white horse and to be swept off my feet.

There are some places I probably wouldn't live, but there are plenty of places I would relocate for "the" right guy.

Probably not. I have a really good career. Plus, my parents are in their 80's. I would feel guilty moving away if they start experiencing health issues.

You bet. The way that I live my life is that I want to be able to look at myself in the mirror each morning and like who I see looking back at me. If I had that "might have been" regret, it'd be hard to look at myself in the mirror.

Fortunately, since I'm already in a LTR, I don't have to worry about it!

Job would be huge deciding factor. I wouldn't want to relocate and end up unemployed or in a job I'm not satisfied with. Because that would probably end up affecting the relationship negatively anyway.

Unlikely but anything is possible. Would depend on many factors, including location. I don't think that I could live in a cold climate. It would be very expensive for me to move. For me, it would involve more than just having to sell my home (which would be very costly), I would have to move my business to do that as well. And I'm a bit spoiled...the location would need to at least as nice as what I have now. And an independent movie theater near by would be a must.

I would, but it would have to be a place that I would be interested in living (and those are a many). I have only lived in NYC for 10 months and I already have a good sized group of very close friends and many more acquaintances.
