    Hi,
I hope this is the appropriate forum for this; I'm rather new here. If it's not, please bear with me.

There is a contest to get a grant from Pepsi for $250,000, and various organizations are asking for votes. The Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Educators' Network was at the #2 position, which would get them funded, but they have now slipped to #3. There seems to be a concerted effort among the anti-GLBT crowd to stack the deck for the current #2 simply to keep "the LBGT's" from getting the funds. Please consider voting. You don't even seem to need a real email address to "register," as they didn't even confirm mine, so you could put a fake one in if you're worried about spam. The link is:

    Voting closes tomorrow.

I'm sure you all remember what it was like to be in middle school and/or high school, and that for many of you it wasn't ideal. This organization does a lot to help create a better climate for GLBT kids so that maybe someday they won't need "It Gets Better" videos. Please consider supporting them and/or spreading the word.

    Thanks,
    Eli

This is a worthy cause . I would say last Pepsi challenge contest the organization I work with (Aids Research Alliance) won second place and got the 250,000.

We used facebook and new media to get the word out.
