Yes, I decided I'm gonna do a fitness competition in June here in the Twin Cities.

I'm doing a Mens Physique competition since I'm too small to do Bodybuilding. It's a new sport in this type of competition and it'll be fun.

I've been needing something to kick my ass in the gym for awhile and this is a HUGE kick in the ass. I know my bodyfat is at 12% and I know I need to drop it down to 4%.

    http://www.npcnewsonline.com/rules_men.cfm - the rules!

    I can't wait!!

I can still box and getting to learn to swim as well as lifting, I'm gonna be prepared for the competition!

This is how I'm looking now. I'm not too happy w/ my build, so I'm glad I'm getting a swift kick in the ass!

My body fat is at 12%. I need it to be at 4% for this. This is gonna be hard.

I'm aiming to be lean as my two friends.

Dude! Good luck SoDak! I'm sure you'll do great man!

I've always thought it would be fun to do something like that but I just can't seem to add enough mass to be competitive for something like that!

Here's a pic taken of me this last weekend. This is what I look like after gearing my workouts for mass building for the last 5 or 6 weeks. Trying to hit 160, I've actually lost a pound! (currently walking around at 154).

What's with the board shorts? Kinda defeats the purpose of showing symmetry, to me. Quite frankly I find it rather homophobic.

Anyway, I hope you win. Good luck! icon_biggrin.gif

Woah. Men's fitness comp? That's really popular over in Europe. I never thought it would catch on here in the States. Good luck! icon_cool.gif

And yeah, I don't get the board shorts either. Overseas, they wear square cuts or some other type of short/fitted shorts.

Those guys look so much better than bodybuilders- but board shorts? Those things are almost as gross as the former.

I LOVE boardshorts!! When they are just SLIGHTLY too big and they hang a tad off the @$$ ... icon_twisted.gif

So my body fat is around 12 to 13% and I have to drop to about 3 to 4%. This is gonna be a challenge and I'm accepting that challenge!

I don't make the rules, I'm gonna follow them. But I'll be working my legs pretty hard too. Well, my legs grow pretty fast anyway, so I really don't have to worry about that body part. icon_smile.gif

What's with wearing baggy shorts past your knees in a physique competition? icon_smile.gif
Hell they should just wear a geisha garb and have us imagine their bodies.

Anyway, I call 2nd guy from the left (contestents' left, viewers' right; the normal lenght, paisley board shorts) for winner. [Yes, I know the word "paisley, stfu icon_razz.gif. ]

    Edit: And good luck SDG!

Get over the fact I'm gonna wear board shorts. There's nothing I can do about changing it and besides ... I look FANTASTIC in board shorts. icon_smile.gif

O'Neill has the best cuts of board shorts. They flatter, and they hug just a little more so that you don't look like you have a full diaper.

I normally do that anyway. So, since today is SLOW at work, I'm gonna figure out my work out for the next two weeks.
