I ran 4 miles on the indoor track in 26:40 for a 6:42 pace. I felt pretty good for the duration, even with my heel still feeling sore. I have a feeling with all the snow I might be resting it a few days again.

The sex comes after--for some reason working out always makes me want to have sex!

I am assuming this is sarcasm.

At any rate. I do this to keep a log of it and have others read on it, comment on it, or help to discuss further ways to help with workouts.

I also try to encourage those in their workouts.

It is not about sex at all for me.

I like your idea. At 6'3" how is the running? Being military I curse the tall guys cause I have to maintain the platoon's pace. Running is a similar situation.
Your 10K time would be formidable. Keep tearing up the road brother and stay healthy.

I ran 22 miles between yesterday and today. I'm training for a marathon with a friend who has never run one before, so 12 of those miles were pretty slow. . . .

6'3" I have always had a slight disadvantage in competition to the smaller guys, but lately it is more about personal achievement than position. I actually like when someone is in front of me because I can use that as motivation to catch them

Well my 5k and 10k are nowhere near where they need to be honestly. I was running low 16s and in the 34-35 range for my 10k.

I took 14 years off of competition and now I am back into it.

    I like this thread!
I ran about 10miles yesterday! (It was freezing cold outside too! apx -20C)

    Warm up of 3miles
    Then 2 X 1mile with 4min recovery
They were in 5:02 and 5:07
    The 4 X 600m with 2min recovery in 1:43, 1:44, 1:40, 1:47
    Then 3mile cool down

Felt good though and it went well!

Awesome! I wish I could get back to running just 5:02 once.

I've just gotten back into my daily running routine, and today I did 5K in just under 29 minutes. The first 4K were faster -- about 5:30 each, and then I slacked off during the last K.

I'm planning to run a 5K fund-raiser race in April. Looking forward to getting out there with a group again.

    @zox -- low 16s? That's insane!
