Like where did you learn geography FOX ?

The same place you learned journalism?

Comedy Central and FOX have joined forces
Just a reminder that as you consider your source for coverage of the current crisis in Egypt, you might want to keep in mind this oldie but goodie from a bit back (2009, I think?). Fox News... apparently mixing up Egypt and Iraq. Understandable, of course, given that Egypt is such a new country.

Guess their grasp of geography is about as good as their grasp of history, politics, current events, and... oh yeah, journalism.

When you need to pull up a map error from 2 years ago, you're getting pretty desperate. Understand given the jobs situation, 2 years of the administration health law down the drain, possibility of Egypt turning into another Iran under Democratic watch - yup enjoy the map error. icon_biggrin.gif

Wow, even the Huffington post has been a little more forgiving (though it is nice to see that you are not passing it off as a recent gaffe like I have seen so many others doing today.)

...So while the map itself may have been a legitimate gaffe on Fox News' part (and not the work of a miscreant with mad Photoshop skills) it's at the very least, an old gaffe. We certainly don't condone misinformation of any kind, but we can understand the zest with which the Internet has passed this around today. As Harris K. Telemacher almost said in "LA Story," "An erroneous Fox News graphic may not be the truth, but it's what we wish were true."

I keep wondering, if this were this CNN, would it be indicative of their grasp on history, or would I see a more forgiving attitude amongst those condemning this graphic while seeing those who are defending FOX attacking CNN?

Please, us liberals have better ammunition than a few messed up Fox graphics.
You're sinking to a teapub level with those kind of examples. I demand better ridicule of Fox news. (oops, can I say ammunition?)

I wonder if Chris Matthews, who thought the Panama Canal was in Egypt while deriding Palin as stupid, learned geography from Fox:

Those who cast stones... had best not live in glass houses.

LOL ..... Chris Matthews was wrong about the Panama canal
But he's dead on by calling Palin stupid

He also said subsequently that her head was filled with garbage
And that Bachmann was a balloon head

    Care to disagree. icon_wink.gif

With 193% of the people backing Republican candidates according to FOX, it's no surprise they did well in the 2010 elections, and may have a shot in 2012. icon_rolleyes.gif
