I normally love winter and the snow...but enough is enough. My partner and I both fell down; I wiped out in the subway station and he slipped on the stairs in his mom's apartment building yesterday. After the initial shock I started giggling and then he started laughing. Luckily he wasn't hurt.

Big difference between KC and Wichita, however. I know you all have received a bunch snow, we didn't.... and we had the 70's for two days, I doubt if you made it.

That aside, I'd be happy to declare it summer and give me some 90's!

I hear ya. Even though it doesn't get terribly cold here in Seattle, my pacific islander genes have been selected for warmer temperatures and more sunlight. icon_mad.gif

Just saw two male Robins (purported to be harbingers of Spring!) in my yard!

Yeah, this winter weather really sucks. I'd much rather it be in the 90's. These 70's and 80's are fucking freezing!

Now, Paul, this could be seen as gloating.
Only by the small-minded, of course. But still.
    Let'm think.
About the time they decide to vacation down here is when it'll get really cold...usually around late Feb to mid-March. In fact, last year's Spring Break was fucking outrageously cold (40's and 50's)...broke lots of low temp records.

In columbus right now and all i hear are the sirens of firetrucks responding to presumably car accidents. Me? I'm drinking hot chocolate inside -- away from the ice.

I love my seasons... right now we are in a Chinook; melting temperatures until this weekend. After that, it is supposed to be back to cold and snow, which suits me just fine. So long as by the middle of March the snow is behind us and the ice is off the lake I will be thrilled. Until then, bring on the snow!icon_cool.gif

So that would be a hell yes. Not sure how much snow we actually got of the 9-15" expected, but where the snow crew shoveled the sidewalks, it is almost even with the drifts and hard to tell where the sidewalk is now.

I wasn't laughing yesterday. I was using the snowblower in my driveway. There was snow on the ice and it was very slippery. I was holding onto the snowblower very tightly and all of a sudden both my feet went up in the air and my grip on the snowblower was lost. I went flying backwards and landed flat on my back. It happened so fast I was shocked. I'm sure whoever saw it happen was laughing. I hit my head but it was somewhat cushioned with the hood on my coat. And I twisted my wrist; it somehow wound up under me.

I hate winter. I hate snow. Right now, I'd like to be sitting on a beach with some hot sun on me.

The groundhog is predicting an early end to winter! icon_biggrin.gif
