I figured I'd ask here since I can't find too much on my own...

I started going to my schools rec center to work out and have been going to a boot camp class. It's 30 min of pretty much non stop exercises. The first week I used an 8 lbs dumbbell weights, I think that since I'm so out of shape my body was in a lot of discomfort. The following week I used 3 lbs, and paid attention better to not overdue it. Now I'm fine w/ my muscles being sore, no pain no gain. My muscles feel tight, but not as sore.
However I'm more worried about my joints that hurt... is this normal? My elbow swelled up a few days later while I was sitting watching tv. My ankle constantly feel like it needs to be popped. Am I over working these joints? Should I find something else? I have enjoyed the class so far, I would like to continue, but don't want to cripple myself either.
I feel like a 65 year old man sleeping popping Tylenol and curling up w/ a heating pad.
Any other advice is welcome. Thanks

I take Glucosamine pills and fish extract pills which are supposed to restore or rejuvenate the cartilage in the bones. You should also be stretching before and after wrkouts. Try to sit in the sauna/steamrm, Steam shower if you have one in ur house after wrkouts as well. Lastly see a physician.

was that boot camp for beginners ? Possibly you gave too much of a shock to your body ( tendons , ligaments, cartilage , muscles etc. ) .
Myself, i'd consult an osteopath .

Sounds like an uneven workload on opposing muscle groups.
