Ahhhh, well then, I look forward to downloading DJ JakeBenson's bottom 40 "non-homosexual" mix. When can we expect your podcast --- the "non-lame" one of course? icon_lol.gif

Actually, Rockbiter and I recently got back from a trip to San Francisco, where we got to meet DJ Grind live! His mixes were awesome, and we had a great time dancing to 'em. Grind himself was a really nice guy, and was excited that we had heard of him through RJ icon_smile.gif

Actually, the mix wasn't terrible. A lot of hard bass to it. I'd actually give it a 5/10 and that's a HUGE compliment coming from me considering it's for 'mos. It was just so ...pop. Can't you faggots listen to house and trance music that ISN'T a fucking pop artist remixed for once? I mean, this stuff is like hard Ibiza gay gay gay trance. Why can't he spin better trance like this babe?:

Let me guess. Too soft? Makes you sleepy? Too moody? Nevermind the entire continents of Europe, Australia, and the Middle East loves this music, it's just not gay enough for American homos right?

I'll keep bitching no matter what. And of course you like this music. You're the target demographic: middle-age middle-class homo trying to stay hip with the Top 40.

You listened to my list? What are you talking about? You mean you watched videos of homophones that went viral on YouTube that I remixed FOR FUN? Or you played music that I PRODUCED? How is either one the same as listening to a mix of music a DJ just SPINS (and does not produce or remix)? Let me reiterate this: this music you heard on my videos is either mostly or fully produced by me. I hope to GOD you understand the difference between a producer of a song and a DJ who just spins a song. Also, music I produce isn't made for superficial homosexuals to grind their nasty bodies into each other on the dance floor. If I wanted to make that music, I'd just layer 3 kicks, 2 snares, 2 hi-hat loops, with an overpowering bassline that clips after it's being side-chained by the kicks, and then hire some idiot who sounds like a retired off-Broadway singer to sing over it.

But for serial bro if you can't differentiate between someone making a SATIRE dance remix of "Eat Da Poo Poo" for entertainment and political purposes, and someone who is spinning a Britney Spears record because the Billboard Top charts say it's popular, then there's absolutely no way you're getting into Heaven. God's just going to look at you, facepalm himself, and point South.icon_lol.gif

But seriously DJ Grind's aren't that bad. I wouldn't walk out of the club for the sole purpose that the music is annoying. It's just disappointing that homosexuals have to spin house and trance music that's pop, tribal, etc. It's like NO ONE is aware of Canada or Europe when they spin dance music. And that's sad. Really sad.

Not as sad as you being so presumptuous to think that just because YOU like house and trance music (I also like it by the way) that ALL homosexuals should like it. You're entitled to your own taste in music, but it's not really fair to put others down for theirs. Music is a subjective thing, and there is nothing wrong with that. There is plenty of room in the gay world for all tastes of music.

People like Top 40 and DJ Grind uses some good remixes...Though I tend to detest top 40, I always have to give support to my fellow DJs and its great that RJ has featured him.

Don't hate too much on good DJs when there are so many bad ones out there!

If you want some more club-oriented house, check out what I worked out to today:

I LOOOOVE his beats!! The December Mix is my favorite so far!

DJ Grind is actually in a contest against other DJ's, so if you want to show him some support leave a comment on his page!

While I have nothing against top40, why would you have a special DJ page for top40 songs that we are going to hear anyway on the radio?
Could you please have something with indie rock, or underground stuff so that I am actually tempted to click on the link to discover new songs. Why would I click on 'new lady gaga track' or 'new britney track' when I know its gonna play 24/7 on the radio, in clubs, malls, etc.?

I feel the same way, but unfortunately for some of us that like quality music we are left to search the internet, go to underground and after hours clubs, and listen to weak, obscure FM stations low on the dial. I actually kind of like not having the music I like on the radio and MTV many times a day and every time I walk into a gay club. When it's not music for the masses, I feel like it is something a little more intimate and something that is just mine.

I have to say that I'm a big fan of these podcasts. I guess I'm just not very music savvy, nor am I much of a clubber. It's just nice to have some variety and something with a dependable rhythm that works for my workouts. And I only really know 1/2 of these songs anyway.

DJ Grind - keep up the good work!

JB, where do you find this stuff?? THIS is the kind of music that a serious DJ could be proud of. icon_smile.gif

Also, when it comes to your 'standard-issue gay' and their aversion to normal house and trance... I'm guessing they just prefer a tune they can sing along to: repetitive anthems with simple and unimaginative lyrics, catchy chorus lines... seems to be what they thrive on.

If it's any consolation, they're here in Australia too. There's no escaping them, unfortunately - except maybe in Antarctica - pretty sure they don't get commercial radio reception down there.
