Hey guys,
I have a bit of a problem. In my family, heart problems run high. Both grandfathers died of heartattack and my father had a triple bypass recently. I am also on high blood pressure medication, go figure. I do go to the gym at least 3 times a week and ride my bike every now and then. I have had in the past, as I am currently also having an issue with being over obsessed with reading ingredient labels and watching what i eat and dont eat to an extent that there are only certain foods i will buy and isles i wont go down at the grocery store. NOW, my problem is that I am a bit underweight because of that and seem to barely stay at my current weight. I have recently been so obsessed with removing fats from my diet that i also removed just about all meats too.
This past week I had made a change. I switched to whole milk (instead of soymilk), have been eating pork, beef, pumpkin pies, mashed potatoes, liverwurst, eggs, etc. I do drink protein shakes when i work out though. So, now knowing that the only way to GAIN to an ideal weight, i need to eat more. . .period. In my line of work its really hard to eat within an 8 hour period constantly. Without the use of prescribed steroids to help gain. . . is my new diet just worsening my inherited heart problems or is actually being underweight more of a health problem??????
Any good advice will do here. . its like "damned if i do, damned if i dont." THANKS
