This is why you faggots were condemned since the beginning of our acknowledgement. You guys would rather prefer that a manufactured piece of trailer trash (sorry luvitohateit but I can‘t hold it back any longer) prevail over the talented and hardworking girl.

Really? Are we that fucking shallow. I mean then people ask why people don’t like faggots. I swear I wish I were Hitler so I could eradicate you. I’m deleting my rj profile. Because I feel so ashamed to belong to a social group as superficial and shallow as this one. And anyways, like blackstrap said, I’m the cancer of this site. So be happy you will be rid of me

I could cry right now from the stupidity and ignorance you guys have showcased, and the sadness I feel for Lady Gaga. I swear I will advocate for the annihilation of the gay orientation one day.

There comes the time that a beautiful, hardworking, and talented person arises to defend you and what do you do? You spit her hard work in her face. You spit back all the things she has done for you, because of nothing more than a stupid fascination or inability to accept that someone could do what your icon didn’t, and do it better.

I have never felt so horrible to be gay in my life. I hate gays and I wish us all to be dead. Good bye RealJock.

This is how Hitler's, Seung-Hui Cho's, Eric Harris's, and Dylan Klebold's are born.

She's doing it to cash in on her loyal gay following. Mildly exploitative of a captive audience? Yes. Good marketing of oneself? Also yes.

I mean obviously the target audience is the gays, but that doesn't mean she's trying to take our money. a lot of my straight friends bought it,.more than the gays. lol it was the first song i actually bought from iTunes.

I'm not going to lie I am the biggest Gaga fan. But it obviously was not going to live up to all the hype. So I didn't take it seriously. The only hype i took was Elton Johns and PopJustic's. The song is really really REALLY good. Its our generation anthem material. And yeah its not what we were expecting but she out-did everyone, but herself. So in the end she still won. This proven by all the records she has broken and set. She obliterated all of Britney's HIAM records. The song is amazing. It's the only thing I have been listening too all day.

And to me the Madonna comparisons are bs. I've listened to Express Yourself like 500 times I still don't hear it. It has some similarities in the intro and end to Vogue, but thats it.

Firstly, I am the biggest Gaga fan there is. My walls = Pure Gaga, my phone cover = Gaga, My life = Gaga.

Howeverrrrrrr! The single is her least impressive by far to date. Out of all current music, I would listen to hers last. Rihanna, Britney and Black eyed peas all have songs out which have just been released which in my opinion all dominate this song

Now. My problem, credit is due where it's due. Alejandro took montages of Madonnas video but it was specifically clear that it was done so and approval was granted. As a reiminaging you could say, kinda like glee was doing at the time with her stuff. However the single (The second least impressive song in my opinion) Was still her own. The music was still Gaga.

The problem is this song, is recylced. I'm sorry, but if I play express yourself and BTW side by side. It's like listening to the exact same song. Not only that, but the artwork is no more than a mere ripoff Kylies, intentional or not. Every Artist should do their homework. The song, the beat is old and farr too simplistic, first thing I thought was omg, are you serious? 90's much?

the lyrics are... Simply put pathetic. And the chorus has been done before, thus much more had the song. To me the lyrics were basically a re-record of "I was born this way" Which was a song before Gaga's. (Coincidence much?)

Now, the problem? The hype. She had Elton John, Perez Hilton sucking off her like breed rats. You can't deny it. There the biggest influencial names in getting things out there, and they did. Also, and Gaga and her whole record company stated that this was the evolution and change to music! Frankly, it's nothing new, it's a revisit to the 90's. But not everything comes back into fashion unfortanetly for Gaga.

NOW! This is whats shitting me, Gaga had non stop released great hits, creating a pure good fan base, that along with all the hot spots in town raving on about her even thoguh we all know its shit equals people to buy it. NOW THE BIG FACTOR! ITUNES! Itunes sent an email with a direct link to buy the song to every Itunes user... IF THATS NON PROMTOTING WHAT IS?!?!?! Its the first time ever they've adapted this technique. And fraknly, thats exactley why its been so successfull. But in a couple of days it will sink, look at the reviews... This is honestly the first topic i;ve seen with good reviews.

Now lastly, I will always love Gaga, even though I feel like she's kinda using me... Like, I feel like she's taking advantage of our taste for music. But there's no proof to that, But, I'm still her biggest fan, and ill always support her. And to the people saying "OH THE HATERZZZ!" Don't confuse hating with something that it isn't, a song that isn't just that good it is. If she recording a sample of her groaning while she took a hard shit would you still say the ones who dont like it are haterz? People are entitled to their own opinion. That is all. Thank you icon_smile.gif

I think this song is awwwwfully boring and a huge disappointment after quite a few listens.

i've been a fan of gaga since she performed live at sf pride a few years ago before she got huge. i bought the fame and fame monster on the day of their release. i've been to two of her concerts and her appearances in clubs and bars in LA and SF and believe me she came out to these cities a lot when she was promoting herself.

I bought Born This Way on itunes yesterday before actually listening to it So, even though she hit number 1 on itunes in a bunch of different countries, it is mainly due to her existing fan base.

Don't try to use the itunes chart records to validate the popularity of this song. It only validates the popularity of lady gaga. The song is straight up boring. I hope her record label does a heavy reevaluation of the tracks that are going to be on her next album.

When I fame monster came out I went out and bought it immediately. Because of this song, I think i am going to wait on purchasing the album when it comes out. Unless a bunch of leaks come out that are really good.

She has nothing to gain from making a song about a minority group that represents <10% of the population, and whose equal rights status is hotly debated by 50% of the country. Yes..... this is a GREAT business plan to sell records!

If anything she will lose fans for being semi-political and making such a controversial song.

Too many jaded people here.... I think its very interesting that gay people automatically start hating on a song that is meant to be encouraging and uplifting, and which could potentially have an effect on how people (straight people included) think and feel about what it means to be gay.

In my opinion its very self defeating (and possibly unconsciously self-hating??) to focus on the fact that the song "sounds a bit like express yourself," and thus to DISLIKE the song... without giving a thought to what the song MEANS, and what it could DO for the community.

Who gives a shit if it sounds a bit like Madge? She is the queen of pop and has done electronic based sounds for decades.... All pop music is going to have similarities.

This song isnt about the production or the way it SOUNDS. This song is about MEANING.

    Go Gaga!

haha dont get me wrong, gaga is great, but when you have radio stations playing it every hour on the hour as 'advertised', basically pre-planned plays, it kinda takes the fun out of the 1800 spins..

still the song is great, it grows on me with each listen

Billboard.com has a poll right now on their main page.

Hold It Against Me Vs. Born This Way

'HIAM' is winning with 67% to 31% for 'BTW'. I think Britney's song appeals to more of a general population while BTW is more of a novelty song.

The last time I checked a majored component of SONGS are SOUNDS. Nice try trying to separating it to make a point tho. Also, the meaning of the song isn't going to get across if no one wants to listen to it.

I can't believe I'm actually agreeing with you. She is a very smart marketer even though personally I think she sucks as a musician.
