I am going to NYC for the FIRST time from March 18th to March 21st before I head down to Miami to stay with a friend for 8 days. As such, one of the things I must do is shop. What are some stores worth checking out for their merchandise, atmosphere, design, and so on that are utterly unique? There are stores I have on my list to buy things at (Uniqlo, Top Shop Men) and those to browse at (Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, Barney's, Lord and Taylor, etc. as well as high-end places like Comme des Garcons, Balenciaga, etc.)

For atmosphere - (crazed mad house on weekends with eye candy if you into that sort of stuff) check out Century 21. If you have the patience you may even find some good bargains.
