If you have to chose between Asian cities/countries/regions to live for a while, what would be your choice?

For me, Koh Phangan island of Thailand is absolute paradise. As for big cities, Istanbul in Turkey or Macau in China.

I lived in Japan for a while and could live there again. But, if I had to choose somewhere else, I'd consider Hong Kong or Thailand.

Veitnam around Da Nang since Ive been there a couple times as a child and it is really beautiful and peaceful. Another place is probably Japan in the country side away from the city maybe Kyoto. India isnt that bad either, its pretty diverse and I love the culture there.

I seriously doubt Anton would ask someone like you this question- he's asking people who are interested in Asia, so learn when to mind your own business for once.

Kazakhstan. Most likely Almaty, Astana, Aktobe, or Karagandy.

Maybe Uzbekistan should be included as well (I would like to learn more about Timur [Tamerlane])

Nah, too poor. Plus I can't speak Uzbek, but I speak Russian very well. Kazakhstan is more Russian friendly than Uzbekistan icon_cool.gif
