With the exception of Zimitar's timely April Fool's joke, what other jokes have you enjoyed today?

I enjoyed one by Gaysir, the Norwegian LGBTQ networking site. It claimed that it was collaborating with the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration and that they had compared their lists of registered names. In doing so, they discovered that quite a few people registered with the NLWA who were active forum participants on Gaysir; therefore, in order to encourage this "constructive" activity they were going to start a payment scheme for those persons in exchange for their forum participation.

The payscale was appr. $150 for starting a new forum thread and $15 bucks for each post.

Here's another Norwegian one, subtitled to English:

Starpower - the future energy source

Does waking up four different times only to find out that each waking time was an entrance into a dream, count? I could have sworn that each time I went in to a dream state that I actually woke up. Each time something in my apartment had changed to some 70's style decor (70's orange, green and red were the main colors.) The second time it happened the clocks read 11:72. I'd open my eyes for a moment, see my partner sleeping and think that I was getting out of bed, only to start over again, in bed. Damned lucid dreams. Damned April Fool's Day!

It would have been more believable and hence a better trick if they had claim american scientists had developed this technology....but, norwegian! c'mon, who would believe that. ..... icon_lol.gif

Oh, Caslon...such little faith in Norwegian entrepreneurship and innovation...

What would our lives have been without these classic Norwegian inventions:
    The Paper Clip

    The Cheese Slicer

Actually, not Tuesday. The origin of that name came from the fact that people went on that day to buy salami from the kosher deli. The actual name was "Jew's day", but you know how these things get corrupted.

    Hah!

Tyr, "the god of single combat and heroic glory," smites your kosher deli and begins selling lutefisk and Epcot Centre memorabilia.
