Do Republicans never stop? How do any guys here defend them? I know, it't economic, or some such damn thing. But how come, as soon as Republicans get into office, their first priority is an anti-gay social agenda, that has nothing to do with the economy, or anything else? Please explain that, if you can?

Come on, southbeach1500, curiousjockAZ, mocktwinkie, socialfitness and other right wingers, what is your defense of this? You vote for these Republicans, and urge the rest of us to do the same. Please explain this to us. I'd like to hear your explanation for these guys you promote here.

I'm sure this bill is going to fix Virginia's economy somehow, right?

I never voted for them. I voted for Senator Ron Johnson who is in favor of civil unions and governor Scott Walker.

"Scott Walker voted for the amendment that banned gay marriage and substantially similar relationships in Wisconsin. Walker also vetoed an effort to provide benefits to the same-sex partners of Milwaukee County workers"

Scott Walker is allied with the National Organization for Marriage

    What the what???

I propose a new federal law where if you want to have the laws of a third world country then you must doom your state to becoming one-- lose all federal funding for your ass backwards state.
You hate civil rights? Super, your state will live like it's still the 1800s.

Here you go again...you're so pathetically predictable. Why would I need to defend this?

    A) I've never even heard of Rep. Randy Forbes (R-VA)

    B) I've never even been to Virginia

    C) I do NOT support, nor have I ever supported, nor would I ever supprt any bill attacking LGBT families. What part of that do you not get? Please get it. Your incessant insistence that me, or other members here somehow suport "anti-gay" anything is insulting, unfair, and makes you look very dense and out of touch

This is par for the course with many of these extreme liberal propaganda artists. Granted there is an anti-gay rights element in the GOP, that does not mean that the entire GOP supports this extreme right wing lunacy against gay Americans.

Our illustrious Governor, McConnel was only there a week or so and he took away rights for gays with the help of that nut Cuccineli he has for his State Attorney. They are doing everything they can to take us back to the civil war era. or close !!!, God is with them in their march to "family values" I cannot wait untill younger people start running things instead of these older bigots in our state.

It happens, but how often? Remember last summer the story in the news about the Republican mayor of San Diego being pro gay rights? It seems it is such an unusual thing for a Republican elected official to support gay rights that when it does happen it makes it a news story.
