More proof that the Republican party advocates an anti-gay agenda that treats gay Americans as second class citizens.

Tell that to the Republicans here. No doubt the little clique of them (and we know who they are) will be cheering & defending this. Wait for it... 1... 2... 3...

Maybe not cheering, but defending - yup.
It will be: excuses, excuses, excuses.
    But there is no excuse.
    It's very clear.
Gov. Jan Brewer and the AZ Repubs believe that straight couples deserve insurance benefits and gay couples do not.
And they've gone to court to try and strip gay Arizonans of their equal rights.
    There's nothing complicated about it.
There's no need to wait and see how "it plays out".
The Repubs have already made it clear that they support an anti-gay agenda that advocates treating gay Arizonans as second class citizens.
We have to wait and see if the courts agree to strip gay Arizonans of their equal rights - but it's already crystal clear that the AZ Repubs WANT to strip gay Arizonans of their equal rights.

Just as it's crystal clear who here on RJ support this anti-gay effort, as they do other anti-gay legislation. Watch them try to change the subject, deflect the topic, and try other tricks. But actually support equal rights for gays? Don't hold your breath.

    NOPE.
Jan Brewer and the AZ Repubs are.

Fortunately for AZ and the rest of the planet - Bush is in retirement in TX and can't do anymore damage.

Ohhhh, do tell Arty -- name names -- who here at RJ actually supports this "anti-gay effort"? This is all nothing more than your usual paranoid babble.

If there's anything I've learned here on RJ.... it's always the fault of Bush.

Well, if there's anything I've seen here on RJ - it's that the RJ right-wingers care more about defending Bush than they do about America.
They don't care that Bush wrecked the economy and ran the country into the ground.
They're only interested in trying to protect the Republican party from being held accountable for it's failed policies.
    Whatever happened to "Country First"?

As predicted - the RJ right-wingers are posting comments defending the anti-gay Repubs - and are posting a shitload of off topic BS, in an attempt to shift focus off of the anti-gay activities of the Republican party that have been laid bare in the actions of the AZ Repubs.

FYI, Repubs - IT AIN'T ABOUT BUSH OR CHENEY OR THE PAST.
It's about what the AZ Repubs are doing NOW.
Your party CONTINUES to support an anti-gay agenda that advocates treating gay Americans as second class citizens.
NO BS you can post will change that simple FACT.

NEWSFLASH: We know that -- WE were being sarcastic -- Though YOU don't hesitate to blame Bush and/or Republicans on just about anything and everything.

It's about what the AZ Repubs are doing NOW.

Yeah...Okay...I'll give ya that. But, as I said before, let's see how this whole thing plays out in the courts. Personally, I do not believe the Republicans pushing for this will, nor should they, get what they want. If they do, guess we will have to cross that bridge when it comes

As I have said a zillion times, though you refuse to hear it, it is not MY party. I am an independent. There are things I like about both parties, other things I loathe about both parties. This issue would be one that I particularly loathe about certain Republicans (though I am open-minded enough to know that the actions of some should not be painted as the actions of all)

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!

SB & Curious - just a couple of "Independents" - desperately spending HOURS every day posting comments on RJ threads attacking Democrats and vehemently defending Bush and Cheney and the Repubs.
    LOL!

Good luck selling that pile of BS, guys!

Again, where in this thread did we defend what the topic of this thread is all about? NOWHERE! I even said I personally loathe the action taken. I don't know how much more clear I can be. You're the one with the tunnel vision and deaf ears...or maybe you're just dense.

You said that we need to wait and see "how this plays out".
We don't have to wait for ANYTHING to see what the Repubs want to do.
We may not know what the courts will decide - but we already know what the Repubs want to do.
They want to strip gay Arizonan couples of insurance benefits, while continuing to provide the same insurance benefits for straight Arizonans, and they've gone to court to try to force that change in the AZ state law.
The Repubs advocate treating gay Arizonans as second class citizens.
    Period.
We don't need to wait on anything.
That's the aganda of the AZ Repubs.

I appreciate that you're backtracking and no longer making excuses for the AZ Repubs, but you began with your usual knee-jerk defense and excuse-making on behalf of the Repub party.

BTW - "Independents" do not spend hours every day defending the REPUBLICAN party.

Well guys, I don't see Brewers Lawsuit going anywhere at the state supreme court level. Lower courts maybe, but it will end up at the state level if lower courts rule in her favor. Its already law to give the gays insurance coverage, so to take a right back, is a pretty steep climb and state supreme court judges don't like their cases being appealed to the US Supreme court, I doubt they'll go this far out on a limb for the Brewer Administration.

Ms Brewer is a shill for the Tbaggers and she's doing her best to keep them happy, its not her money that's being wasted in court, so as long as her actions bring Tbagger votes, she'll say or do about anything. We should be naming her the "wicked witch of the west", she looks and acts like one.

What's interesting - and the above is a good example - is how liberals are blind to all the damage the Democrats are doing to the nation's finances (Obama on track to add more debt in 4 years than all other Presidents combined);(just to make you look really stupid.. This country hasn't had the combination of jobs en masse LEAVE the shores of this country, Tax bases plummet combined with the worst recession since the great depression under ANY president in history.) trampling of the Constitution (forcing citizens to purchase a product from a non-governmental entity);( oh BULLSHIT, since when does a corporation get rights under our constitution? Don't blame any single 'party' or president, they ALL have been and ARE guilty) and eroding trust of our allies (giving U.K. nuclear arsenal secrets to the Russians in exchange for the Russians signing the recent nuclear treaty). (The US GAVE nuclear technology to the fucking world, dunce)

In other words, the gay liberals are so singularly focused on "the gay issue" that they are ignoring the destruction of the country for which they are fighting to have their "gay rights" in.

And then, when they try to address fiscal issues, Constitutional issues or issues of national security, they invariably "evaluate" these issues through an emotional prism, substituting emotions for logic and reason.
You sir ( and I use that lightly) have no fucking idea as to how or what I have done and continue to do in light of "defending the constitution". Without the entire, (not just parts) constitution this country is DOOMED for failure. and ALL parties are tearing that document to shreds.
Don't pull your shit with me..
