Will there be any expression of support from the administration, as there was for the protestors in Egypt?

I don't know if that would be a good idea. That may just anger the Iranian government even more. They must tread carefully here. It would be nice to have the United Nations (or other other related organization) speak up in support, other Arab countries, or allies of Iran....I doubt that would happen though.

Bahrain will also be joining protests soon, I have lots of internal sources say there's heavy co-ordination happening amongst people

Metamorphosis I am glad to hear this for their sakes, what do you think the people would hope for from our country ? would they wish for a very vocal and favorable response from the Obama Administration such as what the VP Biden said just a few days ago about Iran ? do you know whether or not the Iranians are fearful for their safety, or do they feel confident that if they put up enough pressure, they could bring about some good changes? I wish them well and I fear for their safety !!

I have family in Iran and I was in Tehran during the 09 elections and people did not care if they got hit. I remember specifically a friend of mine said, if they hit me, it only gives me more reason to go out the next day.

    DEATH TO THE FUCKING DICTATORS.

YOUR MY KIND OF PEOPLE !!! I think I'd have the same way of looking at it if I were Iranian, in fact I'd probably turn into a "sharp shooter" for freedoms cause.

Yeah. I loathe that fucking monkey who calls himself the President of Iran and wish him along with all those fucking greedy basterds death every single day.

One thing you probably don't know is the lavish houses they all live in.

Khamenei lives in the best spot in Iran (my parent's Iranian house is very close to it), and it is heavily guarded. It is a lot bigger than the two palaces of the Shah that are in Tehran.

    Fuck them.

You're right. The military had very little interference, but Iran is a totally different story. Ughhh

It may not be possible because Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is such a loose cannon and he'd probably not go down before hurling some major bomb towards Israel.

Which sucks because that is 100% against what Iranians want - the idiotic minority, whatever, but majority of people do NOT share the same views as the creatures in power.

I need to stop thinking about this because it makes me so mad. UGH.

They won't. It's going to be a HUGE battle. I wouldn't be surprised if foreign countries invade to help overthrow. Huge protestor deaths will be the reason other countries invade.

For this to work, there will have to be a great majority of the people with their hearts set on overthrowing the despotic government leaders to gain their freedoms. God how I hope they can stick together in such masses that the government is forced to cave, thing is Abinafucker has prepared one hell of a strong military. One of the signs of his fear of being run off.

Me too, if I could find stronger and more derogatory terms to describe those murderers.

I agree, Iran will not go down easily. The Mullahs have too much control. And I would doubt foreign intervention, just the usual condemnations, which accomplishes nothing. Which makes other countries feel good about themselves, but doesn't do anything.

But should Iran fall, then the whole Islamic world is a deck of cards. This will be interesting to follow.

What's sad is that with the ridiculous laws and government policies they have put on the people of Iran, no one really believes in Islam anymore, or at least the "Islam" the Monkey and his boss promote. Whereas (coming from my parents), during the Shah's regime, you could have practiced or not practiced any religion you wanted, dress any way you wanted, etc.

They are such good hearted people, imprisoned by those creatures.
