Lady GaGa's "Born This Way". From ok, to love, to can't live without it, to so sick of it ....all within 24 hours.

This song took 2 hours to grow on me, another couple for me to really get into it....and I mean it---- within 24 hours I am so sick of it I can't stand it.

Please don't tell me it is going to be all over the place for months to come.

It needs to be retired....before it debuts on the Billboard chart at #1 this week.

There's like 3 topics on that single song, but you really had to create your own space for your own reaction to the song ? icon_rolleyes.gif

Maybe listening the song over and over again during 24 song would have the same result, for any song. I don't think the song is the problem, here, but your approach icon_wink.gif

Yeah, I'm not sure about the song myself but I kno it sounds much better than anything I could have produced. I dwnloaded it and listened to it during my wrkout and overall, not bad. I'm sure this summer in the Hamptons and Fire Island the song remixed will be a summer anthem for many

you know what..its a song for us, leave it alone - plain and simple, accept it, be thankful, and turn off your radio if you really are tired of it.

Also, (even though im replying to the thread) go do something, forget about rj for a bit.

My sentiments exactly, she could've been singing about 1000 other things that artists rap/sing about today like how fabulous and rich they are and complete narcissism. Instead she decided to dedicate an entire event to her largest fan base, I think that deserves, at the least, a little respect.

when there's nothing there below the froth; the effect wears off in a hurry.

growling and making vague animal noises only gets you so far.

    Note from the Op:
Hey you know what? This comment- not necessary. Because...yeah...you are replying to this thread. But telling me, in your oh so clever way to "get lost" is just....nasty. Sorry I don't agree with your thoughts on the song.....which is a song for "us" (thank you for letting all of "us" know). Shocker! There appear to be some that agree, and some that disagree with me. I am fine with that. It is a DISCUSSION. PS...I welcome your thoughts, just not personal attacks.

I can appreciate her musical talent but am puzzled why she can't use that more to her advantage by being more original.

Watched the Jay Leno interview and felt queasy afterwards. Does she have her own voice or is it the voice of her PR people/combined w her marketing background - she wants to save the world, create a new race, can relate to human suffering, feels the pain of all gays....oh and the monsters are going to love the new cd - please buy it $$$$.

Had to change the channel icon_wink.gif

as far as being a song for us...
I dont need to be singled out and mentioned for a song to be about me.
personally, I'm taking Just Dance as my Lady Gaga anthem.
Screw any lazy artist who fills half a song with a sad lil chorus, then just recites different minorities, in hopes they all feel special for being noticed.

I'm not a huge fan of the new single, though it is growing on me. However, one thing I will definitely give Lady Gaga props for is how she handles herself in interviews. I have never seen her come off as anything but extremely gracious, very bright, totally in control, and even funny. Last night's appearance with Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" was no exception. She came off as enormously likable -- and was classic Gaga in the costuming. I love how she gives props to all the people who help her and are part of her team. I think even Jay Leno was smitten with her, and very appreciative of her effort. I also think it's interesting how much thought goes into everything she does. Everything she does have some sort of special significance. I don't think we have had a marketing genius like her in pop music since the early days of Madonna. In my opinion, Lady Gaga deserves every bit of the enormous success she is getting.

I think shes the next Madonna. I know that title was given to B.Spears but I can't see Spears having much longevity left over the next decade... GaGa on the other hand... icon_smile.gif

HA! I disagree. They've been saying that about Britney since her first single, well, a decade ago, and yet through all the drama she keeps selling out concerts and churning out hit records. She has transcended just normal pop star status to a worldwide superstar stratosphere in which she could make millions and never even record another record. I think, like Madonna, she will continue to evolve and be embraced by her fans, as well as gain new ones. Early buzz on her forthcoming CD is that it's her best yet.

Hey.....the difference between Britney and Lady Gaga is that Gaga IS a songwriter....has a level of creativity there that Britney, and Madonna to a certain extent....do not. (Yes Madonna has written material for herself but Gaga is involved in all material).

I think as far as an ICON is concerned.....it will be hard to top Madonna.

    Think about this ....

If you are saying Lady Gaga is the next Madonna then....

Who exactly was the trailblazer that paved the way for Madonna? I can't think of anyone. Thoughts?
