I've always wondered if a muscular guy would rather date another muscular guy instead of a slim guy like myself. I'm ready to hear all comments. icon_biggrin.gif

Generally people tend to look like what they want to attract. A muscular guy is more likely to be into another muscular guy, if you play the odds.

Not all guys are this way, so have hope. Some muscular guys will be into slim guys.

I figured as much. Then I read somewhere some muscular guys like slim guys because it's a contrast thing.

Maybe because the 'muscle' culture isn't really here, in that a lot of guys work out, but more for the sport and the fitness, which I think is the same across most of Europe,

The polish for instance tend to train almost exclusively for power lifting.

The result of this is that yes you can divide the (gay) population down into those who work out and those who don't, but we don't have that distinct 'muscle' type that you see in the Americas. Triathlon is very popular here, resulting in super fit guys, but unless they have their top off you would never know.

does any of that make sense?

I always wonder the same thing. You're more toned than I am though, and I have a little bit of a belly.

I don't go to the gym or go out of my way to exercise (not that I have time to anyways) and I always wonder if that's like, the biggest turn-off ever to people who do.

Virtually all of the muscular guys that I know like fit guys and guys who take care of their bodies, not necessarily super muscular guys. Muscular is good, but not necessarily a requirement.

I seriously don't get it. I would never date a skinny guy like myself. I'd never date myself either LOL .I think every relationship should have a contrast. I met so many gay, muscled couples who looked exactly the same, almost like brothers.
Even though I am into muscled guys two muscled guys together is a turn off for me, but then again... it's all about the preferences.

I'd take a muscular/bigger guy any day over someone my size. I like being the little spoon anyway so it works out icon_biggrin.gif!

Actually and HONESTLY I think a Guy's personality is moar of a turn on than His pecs.

Talk to Me - REALLY TALK to Me...and I am Yours.

Muscles come and go -- words last.

At the end of the day, in terms of looks, if his face isn't doing it for me then there will be no more discussion icon_razz.gif

I break it down by these simple equations

Body + Face + Personality = HOLY DAMN
Body + Personality = Good friend, workout buddy
    Face + Personality = YAY
Face + Body = Just good to look at, screw lol
Body alone = Good to luck at, may require a mask
    Face alone = Friend maybe
    Personality alone = Good friend

    Lean --> Athletic --> Muscular --> Defined/Ripped = All good
    Fat/Pencil thin/Overly muscular = All bad

    icon_twisted.gif

Keep in mind, a body can be shaped or misshapen but a face, really cannot, even with surgery

I like muscled and fit guys, but i also like short and small guys because of the contrast, like someone said above.

Somewhere in the past, i had a short relationship with a guy that, despite being very fit, was 5' 2" x 130lb, and it was surprisingly awesome.

Usually I am attracted to muscle guys but not full out bodybuilder status.
Like jocks that do weight lifting are my type.
I could careless about six packs because I will never have one in my life from loving bread too much.
Dislike bodybuilders because I am studying kinesiology and can be "real" about the gym every day for your whole life.
I don't mind average guys ether.
just have these things in mind:
    gym membership
    running shoes
    can do hike/run/soccer/football/basketball
understand sports terminology so I don't have to explain everything

I know I will never have the ideal body because I love to eat and in the military you lose muscle when training because of the food we eat.

Agreed, though the guy doesn't need to be big. Definition, symmetry, even the way a guy carries himself--all count for a lot in my book. I can also get into contrast and have known big bodybuilders who go for that--lucky for me. ;)
