Since I don't know if the person would feel comfortable about me sharing their name, I'll keep this anonymous! Just don't believe anything Caslon says about me!

So I'm out of town, DC area to be exact (guess that's not really exact, but I digress). I met this guy for dinner, he takes me to the cheapest Mexican Restaurant in town, he's been there before, he knows! (what he didn't know was that I was planning on buying... he he), he starts by making the poor waitress brew him decaf (no one else is drinking decaf mind you), we pretty much get thrown out of the place (well, OK, they really wanted us to "re-eat" a second time), he almost gets us arrested when the burglar alarm goes off as we're passing a TJ MAX (his idea was to run...oh yeah, I hear the bystanders now, Dorothy and her friend were running in that direction officer!), then the strip mall turns off the lights on us (they're outside lights and it's like 9:30pm). That's when I suspected that the people there knew who this guy was..but the worse part was that he didn't even open my car door! WTF? LOL

Seriously, great guy, I have not laughed so hard in ages. I think one subject just rolled into another and YES, many of you made the conversation!! Don't ask , it wasn't always pretty.

Anyone else been able to meet someone from RJ while out of town?

I would expect nothing less from Caslon than a very nice, entertaining evening with a great guy!icon_biggrin.gif

The best therapy is...laughter! And boy did I have the best session tonight. Just blew away all my anti-depressants and GABA.

I met eb925guy from RJ! Very masculinely handsome! We had dinner together ...a dinner with just non-stop laughter generated by playing off of each other's conversation. I havent laughed that much in over a year...of course, I have been being treated for prostate cancer so that might not seem to be saying much...so let just say we laughed a lot.

Oh, I can use this to give you an idea how much we were enjoy ourselves. We were at the restaurant so long the shift changed and the new waitress came up to take our order because she didnt know we had already eaten and the table had been cleared and set up for the next diners. (Well, let me tell you we could take the hint!)

So woo hoo! My first meet-up with a fellow RJer and it was GREAT!

    And now his side....

Well, his side is above because he couldnt even find the right thread....need I say more!

I met one who lives here in Dubai and another one on holiday. I enjoyed meeting them both. The former became a kissing/jerk-off buddy of mine, but now he just comes over my place to swap DVDs and mp3s. Even if I say he's a Lebanese teenager, it won't matter 'cos he doesn't have anything on his profile, let alone a photo.
The latter was a Yankee who's supposedly 'in a monogamous relationship'. Yeah, I rest my case.
So now you know that some of the things I write on the threads are actual experiences with RJ members.

    Fact.

Yeah, my husband and I met with medfordguy and his husband. They flew from Massachusetts to Malaga in Spain because his husband had spent time here in the past learning Spanish for his career, so wanted to show the area off to medfordguy. So we met for coffee and a bite in a Torremolinos café and hit it off so well that we spent most of the rest of the day sight-seeing around the area. If you ever get around Medford, Mass., stop by and see these guys. They are a couple of real sweeties!! (picture of the four of us sitting later in the day at a Mijas café is on my profile)

I've met quite a few, and one has become a good friend (Friendly Guy). And another lives two blocks from my house (NScottsdale Guy).

Since I travel for work, I often get to stay the weekend and one even took me out for a night on the town in NYC (International Muscle). Another gave me a list of bars to go to in Boston (Stuff), although I didn't get to meet him.

I even met one when he was visiting his family in Phoenix (Matthew). He's cool and incredibly funny. Looking forward to seeing him again.

I am even going to have dinner with another next week (Southern Guy) as both of us will be in DC.

And there have been quite a few others but timing wasn’t right (Too Good in NYC). I was looking forward to working out with him.

I’ve been fortunate to get positive responses when approaching RJ Members and would welcome the opportunity to return the favor. Therefore, if you are ever in Phoenix (or any other city I’m travelling to, listed in my profile), please look me up.

    I've met three:

One, who deleted his profile, but some of you may remember him. He had started the following thread:
    http://www.realjock.com/topic/38776/
When I read it, I realized that I was at my 14 year anniversary for my cancer remission, so I messaged him, and we've become great friends.

This guy is a friend of mine:

And, this guy has also become a friend of mine. He goes to my gym:

I might be meeting up with another RJ member in a few weeks when he comes to DC...

I've been lucky enough to meet the elusive Sportzdog in person.
    It was quite enjoyable.
He tried to watch a a movie. I threw small things at him. Then drove him back to his hotel.

    :-)

I've also met a few other ppl, or known them before i knew they were on RJ.

and I look forward to meeting more, Some more than others.

I was supposed to meet a local guy from RJ on Sunday but he stood me up. icon_wink.gif in case he reads this, the little shit.

I might have a chance to meet joescorpio1970 when I'm in DC in 3 weeks.

I'm totally unafraid to meet people from sites like this, as the only real obligation is to meet and greet cordially - though I'm aware of the usual intentions from meeting from the internet! However, I don't seem to have a lot of interaction on this site with the few locals who use it. Oh well.

Hmmm, well I'm traveling for work next week (San Fran) and planning to hang with with one or two RJ members, who've been kind enough to offer to take me out on the town. Gigaram and I keep planning on meeting, but I got struck by the flu once, and another time it was past his bedtime (ha ha!). I'll update once we do meet (if I can sneak him into the gym at school to row....)
