    which one?

i love vicki from OC b/c that bitch works and is a crackhead. i really want to root for NYC, but i feel there vibe is "off" since none of them knew each other prior to the show..HOWEVER, the show is purely saved by Alex's forced and pathetic relationship with her husband...her hair and egg shell character are the best in unintentional comedy out there right now. discuss.

Haha I like both of your choices, although OC might be a little better because they have hot dumb jock sons. Vicki had a freaking volcanic eruption with that mini van incident. And Alex is going to turn her kid into a little douchie prick.

I tried to watch an episode with an open mind once. It sucked my will to live more that watching Keeping up with the Kardashians. These are the type of people that Mike Judge tried to warn us about in Idiocracy. If they are allowed to breed and their children are allowed to breed, it will be the end of civilization as we know it. There should seriously be a useless-idiot-reality-television-star sterilization fund telethon.

I watched one episode and I seethed everytime I heard one of the NYC housewives talk about style and class, since none of them have any of either, just loads of money.

I don't really care for either show that much but if I HAD to choose it would definitely be the OC Housewives-at least most Americans can relate to these women. Sure, they have money but they do pretty "average" stuff for the most part. These NY bitches are all about money and status. How can I climb higher on the social ladder--who can I be seen and photographed with..ugh! And I swear that one housewife's husband (the one who said she would never live in the suburbs...ewww!) is gay! I think Bravo needs to have a gay male version of Housewives...woohoo!

let's face it, in terms of NYC society these chicks are bottom of the barrel..take alex and her $2.2m townhouse. say she put 20% down 5 years ago and caught the tail end of the boom years of 00-06. That gives her (rounding up) $1 million equity in her home. THAT IS LESS THAN THE AVERAGE EQUITY FOR A HOME OWNER IN NYC, meaning she's not even middle class.

LuAnn's apt looks to be west of Lexington. What broad has the nerve to get a town house on UES and not be on Park or Madison, and pay for a chauffeur. Bitch needs to dump the nanny and butler, put that extra cash in some drip funds then buy up before she can call herself a real countess.

They need to get the REAL rich wives on here, like Daniel Lobe's or Carl Icahn's concubines, some private fund hedgies instead of husbands selling jewelry on line, but the trash they picked for this show adds to the campiness and bad car crash effect of it all, so we break out the popcorn and scallions every tuesday night.

I've caught bits and pieces of both. I thought everything seemed scripted. They need better script writers.

pretty much every reality show is scripted, that's part of the greatness of it - the ladies' inability to stick to script and keep just enough pretense at bay to show they are hardworking and somewhat still approachable despite their "fortunes," which obviously isn't the case.

the juxtaposition results in a good (bad) comedic tv.

I am all about that crazy cracker boxed blonde's daughter who is like a more serious Dakota Fanning.. wearing pearls in 7th grade and all stressed out about having a slut for a mom.

... a good way to get unconscious after a long day.

When I lived in Kali I met a few people in that circle. Most of whom knew someone who knew someone to get the gig. Personally, that show is about as much reality as a soap opera...as while watching episodes it is so obvious they are hamming it up.

NE Ways these people are so obviously fake that it hurts to watch - ergo - I do not. Although Katie (Jo's "Best Friend"in the spin off) is a sweet heart, and I will dog sit for her anytime icon_biggrin.gif
