Hey guys. I injured my ankle over 6 weeks ago during some drunken festivities whilst on holidays skiing. I rolled it and pretty sure I tore a tendon (yes I need treatment for this). I have just started doing upper body weight training and taking a mass gainer but I'm not liking the effects of a growing tummy. I really need to do some cardio but find most cause a lot of pain and subsequent aching and swelling to my ankle. Even the Cross trainer for 5 minutes whilst is not painful results in a lot of swelling.
Anyone have suggestions of some cardio exercise I can do without affecting my ankle?
(I have very limited range of movement in the up and down direction but anything that involves rolling sideways is out of the question)

Have you tried wearing a brace or even taping it up and doing the elliptical? It's no-impact and something I've used when rehabbing sprained ankles. Same with a stationary bike.

I don't know how far along you are in your rehab but maybe swimming?
