Should a persons first time having sex be so important or should you just get it over with and have fun?

    What do you guys think?

Chances are great that you will remember it for the rest of your life...so make it a good one, or as Louis B Mayer used to say: "Do it BIG, do it right and give it class!!"

In theory anything that is the first thing should have some importance as it will always be your initial resource of reference, but most of the time the first time falls short of any expectation and time and experience will lead to learning and better results for future scenariosicon_confused.gif

My first time was not overly romanticised at all. I was very horny and curious. I picked somebody perfectly acceptable but still random because, for me, it was more about simple exploration and experience at that point. It was fun. It was exciting. It had no emotional or lasting baggage attached whatsoever to mire my outlook regarding sex and love.

Having sex with someody special at a later date was not going to be a negated experience for me simply because I had had sex with a randomer before. If anything, i'd prefer not to be a novice and risk have unsatisfying newb sex with somebody I really liked, thus trial runs were certainly useful icon_cool.gif

Yup, first time is CRITICAL--it can be blissful or downright traumatic. My first time was with a 40-yr old female and I was 16 (statutory rape--lol!), and she did an A+ job. I learned so much from her during our 6-month "affair"--and I still remember and practice every single thing that she taught me.

As long as you're mentally and emotionally ready for sex, then go for it.

If you want to wait for prince charming to come along, and for your first time to be perfect, then do what the straight 'virgins' do. It's ok to jerk off and blow every guy in town because if you didn't have intercourse then you're still a 'virgin' and your first time can be special.
Straight people have an extra loophole in the virgin game. They can say anal isn't hetero sex so they can have all the anal they want and still say they're 'virgins.'

This is always one of the most polarizing subjects in this forum. There are those that say it should be special and wait for your first love, and those that say find someone fun and sexy and get it over with. You won't find much middle ground on this one. I suspect it has to do with some basic personality types.

My first time was with an older man I respected, but was not especially attracted to. I was maybe 19 at the time (I'm not really sure). He seduced me, I was very confused and in the closet. He was gentle and sweet. There was nothing wrong with the experience, it did boost my very very low self esteem some. I frankly haven 't thought about my first time in years. It was just the posts here that jogged my memory.

So obviously for me my first time was not special, or memorable. What I remember most was the first guy I actually fell in love with and the first few times we had sex. Which was probably 7 years later.

I don't think losing your virginity ruins you for your first love in anyway. For me. if it is something that is bothering you you should do something about it. I also believe that we are sexual beings and that sexual experience and communion is as important as self respect and our parents love in creating a healthy person. Casual sex is not sleazy or wrong in my book, it is a way for us to express our sexual selves to the world.

So I definitely believe that it's fine to find someone who is a nice guy and hot and go get it!

Your first time whether its topping or bottoming, find a guy who is patient and can show you the rope. Paves the way for great sex to come. icon_biggrin.gif

    Agree with this.
I was just out of college and got stuck in a year-long unconsummated affair with a guy who wouldn't leave the closet. One night I decided I'd suffered enough. I had a few drinks for courage and walked into my first gay bar. I left with some random guy. Luckily he was decent, the experience was pleasant, and the emotional baggage got taken out.
There was no romantic connection but it opened the door. I never regretted the lack of candlelight and roses.

Couldn't have said it better. My first time was with a random also and it was meh and by no means memorable.

Should be very important...you will never forget you first time and mine was truly amazing, the guy was hot, nice, knew what he was doing, and gave me a full body orgasm. Since then never had a full body orgasm but had a few good ones here and there.

I would advise guys nowadyas not to just do it but wait till they find someone that they really want to do it with. Who they trust and know they are in good hand, no a huge dick being rammed in there or a guy who is inexperience fumbling around. Find a average sized guy, who knows what he is doing, get to know him and get ready for an amazing time!
