    I read this somewhere, already.
I certainly hope that "Anonymous" succeeds, but, if Westboro goes to Court, I am almost 100% positive they will win (if they can figure out who's out to get them.

as fun as this looks to be. what is anonymous going to do to WBC? take down their website? give them a fuckton of subscription mail? order pizzas to their address? WBC craves attention. It's what fuels them and their litigious offensive protests. trolls trolling trolls. anonymous is good at giving someone unwanted attention, but with the WBC any and all attention is good.

PhxNativ271828 saidas fun as this looks to be. what is anonymous going to do to WBC? take down their website?

We shall see if they can, or if their threats are hollow.

If they do, I expect the Federal government will jump to the rescue of the WBC. Many high-level Bush appointees are still in place, and will quickly investigate this attempt.

One thing the Bush Administration was very good at was putting right-wingers into key government positions. Obama has been derelict in replacing them.

This was the work of the experienced Dick Cheney, who understood the inner workings of the Federal government far better than the dim-witted Bush ever could. Cheney quickly replaced Clinton appointees with Republican loyalists. And Obama has failed to clean them out, as Cheney did the Clinton people. His Presidency has suffered as a result, and I expect to see an extra effort to guard the WBC against hacking, and heavy penalties against those who attempt it.

My expectation is that the Fed will not intervene.

It keeps Anonymous from targeting businesses, and just might tie up WBC in trying to figure out out how to sue a headless entity like Anonymous.

Full of epic win no matter what.

To be perfectly honest, I don't think many [any?] politicians actually understand technology and its impact on identity/culture etc.

Almost everything any politician says on the subject is wincingly moronic.

The pool of suspects is not exactly going to be small. Say, the computer-literate population of the US, minus 30.

Sweet mother of Christ, just leave those weird fuckers alone. Just let them hang themselves and be done with it. They're a minor annoyance, giving them attention just fuels their insanity. Let the Kansas hillbillies rot and stop caring geeeeaaaaah

This letter to WBC was sent by WBC themselves.
No hatter group would email anything to anyone.
Email is the easiest thing to track and back hack.

However, if a group such as Anon wanted to go after WBC they would be successful.
After stumbling upon this letter last night I checked out their security.
Went as far as legally possible in like 5 mins. Probably only take 10-15 tops to completely destroy their site and those of their allies.

I think it's great someone is going to do something about these hateful monsters! However, like other people said WBC craves attentions so I think Anonymous should have surprised them instead of announcing it. Earlier when I was at the gym I was thinking about why a group of people just didnt storm their church and kill them all. This is probably a better and less violent way to do it...but it should at least be a plan B or something.

it's a trap. anonymous never sanctioned this thing. WBC is just looking for newfags to sue for easy money. anonymous isn't stupid.
