    What's your favorite Italian Red?

I don't know if we have a single favorite, but my partner does like Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. And anything from Abruzzo (which his Italian family pronounces as Abruzzi). Some of his ancestors came from there.

So we get wines imported directly from there by the case. From a company called Giordano, which has its own label. But I can also get red Abruzzo wines here locally. For white I prefer the sweeter German Rhines.

Best 'Reds' are, of course, any red wine from Australia ...

An Amarone, a Nebbiolo, or a Nero D'Avola are much more my treat...

And if you like the Montepulciano D'Abruzzo, you have to try the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
