I wonder who will be no. 1 now with all top 4 teams losing. I don't think anyone wants Duke there considering how badly they lost to the St. Johns a few weeks ago but it seems KU and Ohio St have also been schooled by weaker opponents. I was really shocked that Ohio state lost so badly. It will be one interesting tournament with all the parody. Will they give it to Pitt even though they lost or will it go to Duke since they didn't lose?

That ain't gonna happen. I think they may have to give it to Duke. I've never felt the these rankings mean a whole lot. It only help you with seeding but conference tournament performance has a lot to do with that.

There are Duke fans on this site and I am one of them so yea, I'd like to see them back at number 1. Duke's loss to St. John's? How about the shalacking the K-State Wildcats gave KU's Jayhawks? Hmmmm......

I just want Duke in the top 4 but I'm not sure how much I like my team being number one during regular season. It feels a bit like they are a sitting target waiting to topple. Of the teams who lost last week I'd have to say Pitt has shown the most consistency.

If I were to rank the teams as of today it would be:

    1. Ohio State
    2. Texas
    3. Kansas
    4. Pittsburgh
    5. Duke

Ohio State lost to two top 15 teams both on the road, Texas beat Kansas on the road, so I have to give them the edge, and I have to put Pitt over Duke because Pitt lost on a late game winning shot to St. John's, while Duke was blown out by the Red Storm

But I think the voters will put Duke at #1 because they were the only team not to lose this week.

That is why you are Ohio guy! So they gave it to Duke but it feels more like default. What surprises me is how much Pitt was punished. I'm still not sure Duke has found their stride. They often seem disorganized without a natural point guard. That is not to take anything away from Nolan Smith who's been outstanding but he's still more of a shooting guard. They need to use their big men more.

Haha, I'm from Ohio, but in no way an Ohio State fan lol, I think OSU has the resume right now to be #1 in the country, but I see them having an early exit in the tournament

Depending on the poll you were close. The coaches have KU at # 2 and the AP poll has KU at #3.
