DUDE! Revolutionary Road is one of my favorites. What follows that scene is pretty great, too. I think I'd call it painfully realistic before I'd call it "deep"....but whatevs, DUDE.

I'm much more into small budget foreign films. They seem t capture the rawness and tenderness of life in a way that big budget american films never seem to.

I burst into tears when in his moment of desperation the young tiger called out to his mother. She flings open the door knowing exactly what he need. So beautiful icon_cry.gif

but how does she show up with the toilet paper when she wasnt even in the bathroom. That's what makes it so deep.

    Patch Adams:

    Glory: can't embed the clip

Godfather II: can't embed the clip

Seven Pounds (not to give away the plot, but Will Smith has good intentions in this movie):

This movie was out this year in Quebec. It's been nominated at the Oscars, and it completely shook me.

The last scenes of the movie, especially, got my jaw dropping and litterrally took my breath away.

If you have the chance to see this, you won't regret it.

This whole movie I felt like I was watching a play instead of a film. Am I the only one? Movies people seem to talk a lot more as they would in real life, and in plays people seem to talk in a more surreal way that I can't quite explain. Anyone else find this with that film?

When Ben Affleck broke down in Chasing Amy and she comes back at him. It was and still is his best acting in a film to date.

Nothing deep, but it has profoundly affected my life.

And this, like Revolutionary Road, but the opposite spectrum.
This is the dream of every man.

Two beautiful scenes come to mind.

The first, comes from the Spanish supernatural melodrama "The Orphanage"...what a beautiful scene when the man's wife leaves behind his charm, letting him know she has been reunited with their dead son.

And the other one is from Dead Poet's Society.
