Going on a cruise! Bonus is that we are arriving in San Juan two days prior to cruise so that we can have a mini land based vacation

Wow, my guy surprised me with a bombshell of a vacation. flying to San Juan Puerto Rico two days prior to cruise so that we can relax, snorkel, go jet skiing, soak in the sun or explore San Juan, then 7 day Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean Adventures of the seas stopping each day at >Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, St Maarten, St Croix. Man it's going to be really hard to come back to work

Yeah he is! Whats cool is that he won the trip as reward for being top in his field, so it's all expense paid

That is awesome. That's a great ship and I want to hear all about it after.

If you want some ideas for stuff to do at the stops PM me. We were on there Serenade of the Seas on the same itinerary in August and had a great time.

we are so confused on what to do on each island, Doing the ultra funky 3wheel motorcycle on St Marten as it'll let us check out art galleries along the way, have a canopy zip line planned as well . Both of us are more into the off beat unusal-non-tourist stuff if we can find them. HELP....anyone have have ideas or done the islands? Planned a day of jet skiing but will arrange that once we get there as it less expensive than online

I always avoid the cruise ship sponsored things. Less flexible (and much more expensive). Depending on the island, I often with a few others arrange after we're there a taxi or van to wherever we want to go, or sometimes just our own tour.

What a wonderful guy! I really hope both of you have a great time.

All of the ports of call on the cruise are great, but do take some time to see as much of St. Lucia as possible. I have not had the opportunity to go there, but have sold some of the nice resorts there and met some of the people from the Tourist Board. It's a beautiful place and imagine the two of you would want to return there.

Ive been on 17 cruises and 3 of them went to St Marteen. Make sure to stop at Maho Beach, its over by the airport..Its the only place in the world where you can sit on beach and 747s fly about 75-100ft over your head as they come in to land. Look it up on youtube.

we are so blessed that my partner has contacts in San Juan, we have a day and a half to explore San Juan, and then jump on the Adventures of the Sea's.... friends are picking us up at airport, drop us off at InterContinental and give us a short tour of Island... Arrive at 9am and cruise leave's next day at 8pm, perfect! My hubby is seriously stressed as he closes on a short sale day before we leave, (long story and broker knows we leave the county, paperwork and sale had better be ready, supposed to close last week, walk is on Thursday) We both need this time together with no stress....Look for lots of photos guys

Agreed on Maho @ SXM, but also drive up to Orient Beach. One end is nude at Club Orient, but the rest of it is filled with chairs you can rent and restaurants. It's a very large beach and it's great sand; the swimming area is all sandy bottom (no big rocks) -- it's one of my favorite beaches in the world.
