    hello everyone,

i'm going to be in LA for the entire month of march, and i'm wondering if any of you have any suggestions for places that offer short-term memberships? or at least, what would be the cheapest solution for my situation? i don't need anything fancy at all... i'll be in the westside but don't mind driving a bit if it's a good deal...

i really want to keep working out but since i'm in the city only for a month, it's actually pretty difficult to find a place where i can go for that short of a period...

and just a note -- buying weights/ a bench and working out at home is not an option for me...

any suggestions would be really appreciated!! thanks icon_smile.gif

The cheapest is free. All the chain gyms and some of the smaller ones will give you a free week membership.
Go online and search which gyms will be near where you're staying and use the LA address to access the week trial.
You have 24hour, Bally, LA Fitness, Gold's, YMCA.
I don't think Sports Club LA, Crunch, or Equinox offer a week trial, but you can at least get a free day at these clubs.

haha well unfortunately i tried this strategy before (i was in a similar situation a couple of years ago), with two different gyms in the same area... i think i'm kinda blacklisted from there now icon_razz.gif

    but thanks for the suggestion!

ahahha oh i just saw this clip... didn't see it before. from what i remember about LA gyms this seems pretty accurate XD a friend invited me once to equinox as a "guest" and it was ridiculously posh... and then on the other hand i once tried the 24hr in west hollywood and that was a total cruisy dump...

i'm going to miss the no-bullshit, clean, non-crowded, affordable gyms of europe icon_sad.gif

so, no more suggestions? i'm guess i'm stuck with paying 2 months membership for 24hour even though i'm only in LA for a month... sigh.
