It seems that my biceps and triceps aren't increasing much at all....

I work with a trainer and he says each person has genetic makeup that makes one body part grow better than the others...In this case I am pretty solid working out my chest and back....

However my arms look less than stellar...

I work out about 3 to four set with increasing weights to maximize my reps plus keeping a body posture to isolate and work upon on that muscle group (i.e keeping my elbows as static as possible during curls)...

So what gives...Why can't I see my arms increasing in size.... icon_question.gif

If you don't have "big" arms (like me) you never will...its all about genetics. That doesn't mean you can't make sizeable improvements though. Actually the bestway to increase arm size is to increase your weight by taking in more (quality) calories. As you body weight increases your arms will increase in size. Don't let anybody tell you it is how you train and certain exercises or rep schemes will grealy increase your arm size...that's bull.

    Before Chucky gets in here...
Read up on hypertrophy. You can do different things to increase the size of your arms.
