(I am making a judgement call based on your pictures and profile in regards to the bars which I think you will prefer.)

How many nights will you be here? This is what I am thinking for a Saturday night.
Start at Roscoes, then to Sidetrack, end at Hydrate or Charlies (both of which close at 5am.

SPIN has come into its own in the past year or so also.

As for straight bars I cannot give a professional opinion, but BERLIN is a great mixed crowd. Great music, everyone dancing. Downfall is that there is one bathroom in the whole place.

Having said all this if you are looking for "fun" afterwards there is Steamworks which will be plenty busy on the weekend. If you want seedy and not pay to enter a bathhouse there is a bar far north called Jackhammer. The upstairs is nice, but they have a basement (on the weekends) you must wear leather or just your underwear. This is farther north and if you are staying in Lincoln Park it would not be worth the taxi.

Berlin has the best dance floor, IMO. Charlie's is okay (when drunk).

I'm also a fan of Mini-Bar, such a pretty crowd. The bar itself is pretty cool inside.

Sidetrack is huge, and IMO, kind of boring.

If you are into sports at all there is a great gay sports bar called the Crew which is north a short bit of Wrigley Field - tons of big screen TV's, lots of sports jocks and pretty good food.

Anyone know if they're only 21+ there?

I'm planning on going there for spring break too and here in Michigan the gay bars are 18+, but I also heard that there aren't many other states with that minimum age.

Rowbuddy on Chicago bars "...Spin: Alternative type bar. Hip hop and ska and punk and stuff like that. Dont know much about it because the crowd that I see going in and out does not appeal to me much but I HEAR its "the asian and black bar" y on Chicago bars: "

Wow, "the asian and black bar..." with lower case letters no less. The racism in the gay community is absolutely alive and well...so fukin IGNORANT lol icon_twisted.gif
