I'm self-employed. It's OK, but the boss is an asshole.

I'm a surgical RN. I work in the operating room of a teaching hospital that also serves as a level 1 trauma center for my part of the state. Like any job, it has it's aggravations and can be stressful for sure, but overall I really like it. I get to see a lot of cool things, like robotic surgery. And working with surgical residents can be very entertaining. The ortho boys are a hoot. I'm seldom bored and I make livable money. Not a bad deal.

It was a HARD battle with the forces that be but, my entire college BA education is paid for (including living expenses) and I have retired the Graphics Technology field for good! To make up for all the generosity I do volunteer work for three organizations including Cancer, AIDS, and the Mentally Compromised/Homeless in order to help others not give up on life as my Mother always taught me... You have to make the most of what you got and be grateful for the oxygen you breathe while sharing it with others.

I'm a lifeguard and swim instructor for 3-5 year olds. I like it quite a lot. It's very very rare that I can go into work with a frown and spend a few hours with little kids and not come out with a much brighter outlook.

I am world nomad/writer/adventure seeker. Yes, I LOVE my "job", and making a decent living out of my passion. Also, teaching English in China, modeling from time to time, writing articles for a web site, selling weed sometimes...Anything to survive, really.

Part Time Retail Slave. I don't even know what my job is since I'm so cross-trained in every sector that it changes all the time. I guess I'm there as a Trainer for new people.

I don't mind it, but the pay and atmosphere sucks.

It's a dead end tedium, hence why I'm at work and typing this right now. Shit managers coming *looks busy*

I tutor college level biology and chemistry for various tutoring agencies in the greater Los Angeles area. icon_cool.gif It's good money, but I have to do my share of staying in the loop to be prepared. A good tutor always prepares his lessons ahead of time.

The more I think about it the more I want to be a chef. I wish I had realized that before I wasted the last 4 years majoring in Biochemistry.

I'm a plant developmental biologist and molecular biologist. It is awesome work because much of it involves problem solving and being creative. Generally the work environment is casual and I spend most days doing things applicable to my work without being mandated on the specifics of how to tackle things.

    I like what I do icon_biggrin.gif

I get to geek out daily!

I'm a grad student. I run various experiments and teach undergrads... it's stressful but I enjoy what I'm doing. It pays me just enough to live a basic life and I get to make my own hours.

I work as a business consultant to start-ups and second stage businesses, analyzing business models and their approach to making money.

I also teach Entrepreneurship, Business Plan and Business Strategy courses at non-profits. My goal in teaching is to help individuals rise up out of poverty by teaching them how to start and grow a business.

Have been doing this for ten years. The consulting side has been tough the last couple of years due to the recession. The teaching is rewarding but not financially.

Currently researching opportunities to combine my consulting and teaching experience into a personal and financially rewarding endeavour.
