Protein Shake Flavouring Tips

    I've tried a lot of different protein shakes and many of them taste pretty bad.

    I wonder if anyone else has some good tips on making them taste better?

    Here's my tip - get a regular chocolate flavoured shake, and then customise it using any of the following:

    - nutmeg/cinnamon powder
    - peppermint essence
    - orange essence
    - almond essence
    - peanut butter

    That gives you five flavours in one powder - Choc-Cinnamon, Choc-Mint, Choc-Orange, Choc-Almond, Choc-Nut - should say, only add the essences to the shake just before you drink it, and make sure you shake it up well!

    It helps to do this also to prevent boredom.

    That reminds me- I picked up Timothy Ferris' book, The Five Hour Body, and he says that he flavors his coffee with vanilla extract. Would almond extract taste good with the protein shake? Maybe. I gotta try it.

    I also flavor my choco protein powder with:

    Coffee (Espresso preferred)
    Frozen blueberries
    Frozen banana
