Fruits Basket was my Japanese class' favorite anime...its how I got the nickname Kyo back in the day. Still one of my favorites.

Other than that, Miyazaki (Tonari no Totoro is my happy movie and Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi is fuckin amazing) and Inuyasha are my staples. Akira and a few other good movies, too...and of course Neon Genesis Evangelion for good measure.

I'm not sure how many of you might consider Yu-Gi-Oh! to be anime, but for those of you who are/were fans of the show, you might love Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series:

The funny part is somewhere or other, I have pics of my entire class dressed like the characters...I wasn't kyo though. Ended up with someone asking about my "natural hair color..." hehehe. Pulled off the sorta badass thing that Haru had going, too. Fun for all...

    I love jap anime movies...

Rintaro's Metropolis, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Perfect Blue.

This is one of my favorite movie scene ever (it's the ending scene of Metropolis, don't watch if you haven't seen the film)

I've decided that Ash is basically the world's shittiest Pokemon trainer. And don't feel bad, I may not watch the show anymore, but I preo-ordered Pokemon Black the other day. icon_smile.gif

I'm a big Miyazaki fan! Although I will admit that Spirited Away creeped me the eff out when I first saw it when I was younger.

We got to watch Ponyo in my Ethnic Children's Literature class (it's a modern take on The Little Mermaid, really).

I used to love anime and was into it for a few years, I still like the art style but have a hard time relating to newer stuff. Was definitely a fan of manga about 12 yrs ago..kinda around the time when Ninja Scroll came out, was into Ranma 1/2 (I was obsessed with this show, and the movies, probably because of the homosexual tendencies throughout the series lol), Devil Hunter Yokho, and who could forget Akira & Tenchi Muyo
