ACO has really sexy music - when I take a hot bath to relax I play it in the background.

yup and im totally not up-to-date with jap music... just got a couple of singers i like... mostly jpop singers have thin girlish voices like hamasaki ayami and so on and i dont really like those voices - besides their lyrics are mostly senseless ...

This song is really chill, great ambience.

    Very repetitive but chill:

This is like his more rock-ish stuff:

Fantastic Plastic Machine has been getting a lot of hype:
beware of epileptic seizure inducing video:

Louis Vuitton had him collaborate to create this ad a few years back:

A lot of his stuff I can't find on youtube, but he has a bunch of "Sound Concierge" albums.

I'm kinda on the fence about Anna Tsuchiya, I like her remixes a lot better than her originals.

    What, no Ayumi Hamasaki? Sadness.

UA is one of my favorites, but she can be a bit hard to get into. She covers so many styles.

I also love Mayumi Kojima's jazzy lounge vibe.

    Arabesque

Kudos to whoever posted ACO, she's awesome! Lots of great stuff for us who can't get into K-pop icon_cool.gif

    I like Do as infinity

and this one from Naruto is cute (Harmonia)

ps: Hamasaki Ayumi is overrated, she's not a very good vocalist
(but then again lots of J-Pop singers sound tolerable (at best) on recordings LOL)
BoA is a good J-pop singer.... and she's actually korean

not to be nitpicky but do you know anything that's not from anime or video games or anything else that has leaked it's way into North American pop culture?
