I am talking about Davidoff's Cool Water cologne. this:

    Cool_Water_by_Davidoff_men_original.jpg

I am dying to get it. I once even bought it, but then returned it. All because of my girl friend who wouldnt stop bitching and complaining about it (yeah I am a loser like that, I need her validation on every breath of my life). She thinks it's for younger high-school boys and it always reminds her of the guy she dated in school. We went to a restaurant afterwards for dinner where she asked the waitress what she thinks of the cologne. The waitress said it reminds her of high-school boys and her dates too.
She thinks it's nice smelling, but it's old fashioned now. She wants me to buy Allure instead (which I think is little too strong for my taste, and smells just like any other new cologne)

Do you think you will like Cool Water on a grown 27 year old guy?

Grow a pair. If you like it and want some, go get some for yourself.

Maybe, if you want to be really nice, you could alternate between the Cool Water and the Allure.

How about dumping your hag, or beard, or whatever, and YOU DECIDE what you want; Youre 27 for the love of cock, BE A MAN.

Now, if you want something fresh/aqua smelling like Cool Water(yuck!), go to Sephora or any Fragrance store, and ask which ones smell similar or in the same category.
    May i suggest;

    Bleu de Chanel

    Hugo Element

    Calvin Klein Eternity Aqua

    Prada Infusion D' Homme

    Burberry The Beat for Men

    Kenzo Power

    Have fun!

I agree w/ Gigolo, the salespeople in fragrance stores/departments are usually very helpful and knowledgable.

It's a part of pop culture now, but when it first came out, it was marketed differently... i dunno.. it's not for me, but some people dig it. It really does remind me of high school though.

Any cologne can smell "high school" if you wear too much of it at once. If something smells good on you and you know how to apply it correctly, even the so-called cheap cologne can be great.

Start from behind your ears, spray down to the sides of your neck. Then spray to the middle of your chest down. Thats it.
If you want more, the back of your neck and the top of your head. Trust.

Behind your ears sounds like a weird place to spray, do i literally just bend my ear forward and spray?
I usually spray my neck/chest and wrists because any more seems like too much with any designer cologne.

Cool Water reminds me of my father and he's a 40 year old man.

It's a more mature scent. So no, I think if you can rock out whatever you want. Lord knows I do. I mix my shit and always get told I smell good.

I am not sure if you're being sarcastic... But don't buy a cologne by just smelling it straight from the bottle... Everyone's body chemistry reacts to fragrances in their own way; so the same cologne can smell distinctively different on two people. That's why they have testers in the stores... Spray some on your skin, give it some time (let the alcohol evaporate and your body heat works its magic)... Then see if you still like the smell. If it doesn't smell good on you, there's not much you can do to change that IMHO.

I was in NYC and it was the only chance I had to buy the fragrance, so it was a now-or-never purchase. Too late now anyways.

I have had the same problem before I stopped buying the cheap stuff. Try using it to freshen the air after pooping.

This has been a Hint from Heloise (TM).

I've learned that generally you get what you pay for with fragrance and there is a difference between eau de toilette and eau de parfum. No, one isn't for chicks and the other for men but when you buy and use eau de parfum it is much stronger and longer lasting in general.

could you try Cool Water on your skin and see how you like it? It might fade too quickly or not smell the same on you.

Wow, I recall having a bottle of Cool Water during my junior year in HS. Having said that, I wouldn't dare splash that on my body.

Exactly...not to be mean, but it really smells high schoolish- something I sprayed my backpack with back in high school, that I now just use as an air freshener
