    How are those shows?
What is your favorite gay reference in SN? Mine is in, I think, the magician episode dissing Criss Angel, when Dean comes across a BDSM leather bear.
BTW, Jensen Ackles is in my hot list of men who spin me right round. He is my Prince of Badassery (Clint Eastwood being my King).

    That is what I think.
What a beautiful man in his 30's.

Jared's body. Holy fuck. It's like, "WHOA. Hi! Do me. Kthx." Hahaha.

Nikita is a rip off of a Ukrainian band NikitA. The whole look/idea. Lame show.

    Lame lame lame lame...
In Russian Nikita means unconquerable. It is also not a female name, so the idea of giving it to a female gives it that whole "heroinesque" feel.
    What a rip off.

I like Nikita. Pretty good for a series. Of course, I love anything with a female heroine icon_biggrin.gif

Nikita is a a great series. Very well done and the fight scenes are second to none on TV right now- and most action films too tbh.

The main characters are well formed, nuanced and believable.

The pace of the episodes is gripping and the plots in each episode seem to get more and more interesting.

It coud do with showing some more background of the other main characters such as Amanda, Birkhoff and Jaden, although I guess there is still time for that.

    Overall, a great show.

Actually the series is loosely based on a modern french classic movie called La Femme Nikita, and also Point of No Return/The Assassin with Bridgette Fonda which was was the 90's hollywood remake of the French classic.

I usually don't gush about television shows, but I have to admit that I am addicted to NIKITA. It apparently got signed on for production for a second season, which is amazing because this show has so much suspense and action, and a really great storyline! If you aren't watching it you should.

And like many things produced by the U.S., it's shot right here in Toronto! I think that the safe house Nikita has is actually right down the street from me; there are always trailers there about once a month, and the show's logo is on some of the signage. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to run into Shane West or something, rawrawr!

Also, the safe house she uses in the pilot episode is clearly the Crystal Ballroom of the King Edward Hotel.

I just like the comic relief of supernatural, and how the writers have acknowledged the homoeroticism that some people read into the story, and how the show sometimes just makes fun of itself.
Like the introduction of a prophet who writes cheap novels about Sam and Dean to make money, because he has visions about their adventures (named Edlund like one of the shows real writers). so it was funny in season 5 where the brothers end up at a Supernatural book convention and at one point in the convention hall there's an announcement about a lecture on the homoerotic subtext in Supernatural. all the conventions fans are dressed up as Sam and Dean and two of the fans turn out to be a gay couple.

For rizzealz, he defo should- i'm all about educating the blissfully unaware about good cinema, each one teach one icon_cool.gificon_lol.gif

I agree that Hollywood remakes generally tend to bastardize good classics, however, in this case they actually did a good job. I've seen Point of No Return/The Assassin about 3/4 times at least in my life and still enjoy it- it stands the test of time.

I've seen the movie and it's different than the series. The woman's costume and overall persona is that of the girls of the band....
I'm not stupid, you're just ignorant.

    Amanda! (Melinda Clarke)

Also I read an article awhile back that Xander Berkeley (Percy) believes it could be in the works as well. I really hope so.

I love Supernatural. Jensen is the hottest. Not a big Jared fan and having met Misha in real life I can say he is hot and awesome. Would not say no to a little Dean/Castiel icon_razz.gif
