Interesting article from Bloomberg. In particular, I found this data quite interesting:

The report also looked at same-sex experiences among men and women ages 15 to 44. Women in that age group were more than twice as likely as men to have had sexual contact with someone of the same sex. Almost 13 percent of women have had a same-sex partner, compared with about 5 percent of men.

And I thought guys were the sluts! LOL

    Lesbians recruit young blood.

That is interesting. Some of my friends (family physicians and others) and I did a similar "study" for young adults between 13-20. We didn't include hospital data as that would have skewed results.
When n=438, 34.4% had not engaged in oral/vaginal/anal sex within practices that were located within a 75 mile radius.

Note we did it just for giggles and is not a scientific study.

Also, the articles notes that same-sex attraction is around 1%, excluding bisexuals. This seems extremely low as some people may be unintentionally/intentionally being facetious.

From personal life experience, men lie a whole lot about it.

I'm not sure about young men lying about sex. I think that actually a lot of young men are very scared of sex. They are scared of HIV, mainly because they're not educated about STDs and seem to believe you can catch them by sitting next to someone on a bus. Ok, I'm exagerrating a little but I do think a lot of young guys refrain from sex because the idea scares them.

When it comes to GAY sex, many many men lie about it.
Some even have sex with men and still consider themselves "straight"

<3% gay men and women? that's only about 800 people from their total population. where are they sampling from? perhaps, they should set up a table at a gay pride event anywhere to increase their sample size before they make any big conclusions.

<3% of guys who say they're gay or bisexual. no wonder only 5% of guys admit to same sex contact. frankly, i'm surprised it's that high. "men who say they're on the DL" make up probably 10-15% (if not more) of the visitors to sites like manhunt or adam4adam. men are notorious liars, especially about this. can't blame some though; we live in a world where we're denied simple things like getting married.

times are changing though. let's see how large that number gets in another 10 yrs.

I couldn't count the number of these guys I'd met. Straight, many married, but want to mess with guys on the side. It's a very LARGE percentage. Although, in any unsafe situation, they will deny it no end.

Oh lord..clearly this is a case of under-reporting-

The media has somehow made girl-on-girl action hot, so girls own up to it and think it makes em badass..

guys on the other hand, not so much.

I'm not going to lie, the fact that you guys did this on your own is kinda awesome.

    Some doctors are extreme nerds.

We were tickled pink too. Naturally there was some satisfaction in that we, 30-60 years old, actually had more sex than people in the prime of their lives.

It's also important to note that a lot of men who engage in same-sex behavior will still identify as "straight". And honestly, who are we to question that? I can however, assure you that the number of men having same-sex attraction is much higher than 1%.
