Recently I went to the doctor with a friend of mine and he told me a story while I was getting my blood pressure checked he said and I quote

"When I was getting my blood pressure checked during my physical exam for the navy the gentlemen that was getting it said for me to calm down and think of your happy place"

I asked like an idiot "What was your happy place"

    He said "Mcdonalds"

Me and the nurse busted out laughing and messed up my own numbers because of it she did it again and I was all good

I have several happy places. The beach and on top of Stone Mountain (mountain here in GA that is pure granite) are a couple. But I think my most practical "happy place" is in my car driving and listening to music. If I ever need to get away and think I just hop in my car and drive. Its the only place that really lets me clear my mind and think.

But if someone told me to think about my happy place, I don't think I could. I can't just think of somewhere and instantly be happy or at peace.

Alone, on my mountain bike, riding in the still of the morning. I do my best reflection there and in the shower (but only when alone) icon_eek.gif

I'm extremely sentimental and I find peace and happiness going to places that remind me of my close friends and family... Too many to mention.
