The next Torchwood is supposed to be filming now and I heard would be showing sometime in the summer. It's going to be on Starz in the states.

Doctor Who series 6 started with the christmas special with 6 episodes to follow in the spring (i haven't seen the dates yet) there will be 6 more episodes late in the fall. It's supposed to be on BBC America and iTunes.

Doctor Who usually starts late March/ early April so I'm really surprised that there hasn't been an announcement yet. It's a bit frustrating.

I'm really looking forward to the return of Torchwood over the summer!

I find Wikipedia has pretty reliable information on airtimes of Doctor Who and its spin offs.

i've watched doctor who since 2005 when it was brought back to life. i've always loved it. i also enjoy torchwood as i find the story lines compelling. what frustrates me most though is i will not be able to see the newest series of torchwood as i do not have starz. i'm surprised that RTD would not let bbc/ bbc america show it. btw... did any of you catch doctor who at the proms this past christmas? i LOVE the music for this show. i had no idea that so much went into writing the music, much less the choral part of it. as an aside, i did try fish fingers and custard a few weeks ago. quite tasty! but you have to get the british instant custard for it to taste good. icon_razz.gif

If I'm not mistaken, Season 6 is starting on April 2nd across the pond. Expect the two week delay on BBC America.

Yes, I'm a fan of both Dr Who and Torchwood.
I remember watching Dr Who in black & white back in the 1960s, where at times I was tempted to hide behind the armchair! Dr Who was a favourite topic of discussion among my school classmates.
These early series was a great boom to the toy industry, when plastic Dalek models as well as more expensive motorised versions were top sellers.
